Value Buy
Not sure what the upcoming week holds for Apple; Apple's earnings more oft than not move the stock either up or down, generally by a large margin. They have had a major stock split, a major acquisition, a couple of product announcements, have raised their dividend & announced a major partnership announcement over the last 5 months.
So it will be interesting to see how it plays out when they report earnings Tuesday After the Bell.
What I do know is that on April 21st 2014 they were trading @ $75.05{Split Adjusted} & as of Market Close July 18th 2014 they were trading @ $94.43. Which is a gain of $19.38 (20.52%) in 78 calendar days {48.5 Market sessions[July 3rd was a half day]}
I ran trades on Apple prior to the split on both sides; stock & options. Still hold Stock & am still trading the options. Company seems solid to me; then again some think I am an idiot..

bimetalaupt, I use MSN money quotes as stated in rule 6. If there is a disputed quote I will look at the opening value on the historical quotes at Yahoo. I will check Yahoo tomorrow and whatever they show as the opening price for Monday Jul 21 will be the official price for the game.

I have internet service this afternoon....... Do I know how to pick em wrong or what? AMZN had a downgrade, but might still pull it out by Friday..... Everything I wanted long is basically doing nothing, and CMG went thru the roof. At least I had the sense to pick it as a short this week.
Then again I could have been Bill Ackmann, a highly respected fund manager, and guaranteed he would destroy a stock with an announcement today, and after it is said and done you are personally responsible for a 20% pop on the stock after your news conference ends. He has a billion dollars on the line shorting Herbalife for the last year, and still hangs in there, banging his head against the wall. As an Investment manager, I would pull any money out of his Pershing Square fund. This man was manical today.

Good grief, I am in shock! Hard to believe, ahead of such seemly strong contenders on an "up" day. Oh well, 3 days to go and things will certainly change.
