WEll it may or may not hurt oil prices but the attack that put Iraqs major refinery out of commision yesterday may cause panick and make gas jump even more. Seems every bit of news causes gas prices to jump even when there is adequate supplies just now. Here it is $1.35 and had increased twice in one day. The Island folk don't add any taxes to the price? Thought you were on a Island but just realized it may be some one else. Where are you? I just thought , if I had a small car and filled up say 12 gallons in UK, it would cost me over a $100 ...that smarts.

...as much as I disike paying the higher gas prices, I do like my car... <<< If I drove a 100 miles straight..it took me a hour. >>> ...and for this, dez, I'd be more interested in the cost of your speeding ticket rather than the cost of your gas... ;D

I'd love to know how you drove 60mph and logged 100 miles in that same hour. Did you hit a micro wormhole or something?
Gas prices are at $3.19 (regular) at my local COSTCO this weekend and the highest I saw was $3.49 at a station in St. Pete.

finance.yahoo.com/news/Oil-prices-climb-as-Iran-apf-1296176780.html?x=0&sec=topStories&pos=2&asset=&ccode=Chris Kahn, AP Energy Writer, On Tuesday March 1, 2011, 11:55 am EST Oil prices climb as Iran tensions escalate Oil prices push past $98 per barrel after Iran imprisons opposition leaders The national average added another penny on Tuesday at $3.375 per gallon. Prices should keep rising to between $3.50 and $3.75 by spring, according to OPIS oil analyst Tom Kloza. He said future increases will be much more gradual, because gasoline markets have mostly priced in the recent rise in crude. "So we should flatten out" in coming weeks, Kloza said.
