After watching Extreme Couponing, my family became afraid of my couponing for awhile- they were afraid I would be headed from Extreme Couponing to Hoarding: Buried Alive. They did not portray people in a good light at all. If I need any reality show to come see me- it's What Not to Wear! Hahaha! That's a good one...me too! I love Clinton and Stacy! "Shut Up!"

I still have a hard time passing up a "great" deal, even when it is going to cost me something OOP or if I don't really "need" it right now. I do a lot of donating, so if doesn't cost much OOP, I will get it and add it to the donate stash if I think it is something the shelter can really use. I am trying to do better and really think about my OOP cost before I do the deal, but it almost killed me to let some BOGO q's expire a few weeks ago! I was holding out for a BOGO sale to pair them with, but never got one, so I left the q's for someone else to use. Does anyone else suffer such grief when a great coupon can't be used? YES! I was so sad that I could only get 2 Dove deodorants when Rite-Aid had their deal.. I spent $ for the Qs from Ebay and hated for them to go to waste. I paid 14 cents OOP per deodorant at Wal-mart using the RA ad. I bought about 15 and lest the rest of the Qs for someone else. I had 2 Dove deod coupons and a raincheck from RA, because unfortunately a shelf clearer bought 12 of them first thing in the a.m. My coupons were going to expire, but fortunately Wags had them on sale last week, so I did get 2 deods. It's a bummer though when you have in mind a particular deal (4 free deods) and it doesn't work out. That was nice that you left the q's for someone else to use.

Good evening ladies!
I'm feeling a little giddy tonight. I like coffee, but have to avoid as much caffeine as possible. I was running a little low when I found a BOGOF coupon for Community coffee; it was for the 12 oz red bag.
I went to a Target, but they didn't have the decaff. I stopped by my flagship Krogers after seeing they had the bags on sale for $4.99 w/card. After scrounging to find the decaff, I was crestfallen because the bag was the 13 oz size and there was no sale sign by it.
I was about to leave the store empty handed when I remembered a lesson from my favorite Walgreens store clerks. Some of you grandmaster couponers probably already know this; there are numbers above the barcode that indicate to which products a coupon can be applied.
I wanted to break out into the happy dance when I saw that my product code was covered by the coupon. If the clerks had not given me that hint, I would have missed out on my 26 oz of coffee for $4.99. Yaaaay me!

More Safeway (Dominicks) Issues
Seen on another web site:
Safeway has another new coupon book: Pet Pals w/$28 in coupons. Before I tear my Dominicks store mgr a new one, has anyone seen/gotten this book. If yes, what part of the country (ie N. CA, metro Chicago, New Eng….)?
Last weekend store mgr outright LIED to me when I asked for the freezer coupon book. Said he did NOT have it at 11:30 am on Sat but it was there at 8:30 am on Sun. These are WAAAY too heavy to send USPS and USP does NOT deliver on Sat so I really would like to report this jerky mgr to corp.

I even was lucky enough to get a major metro set that weekend and there wasn't one in it either. Oh well. Just curious as to whether you got them cuz if you get them in the Times I often will get them in the Chronicle.

Most of us have the major drug stores in common, but all of our grocery stores are different. The Grocery Challenge is to find a few people that live in the same state or geographical area to compare deals. This is a big help. I also have "coupon friends:" Coupon Catherine, Coupon Tina, Anita Baby Doll, Coupon Pamela, Coupon Faith, Coupon Two...etc. I see these people in the grocery and drug stores. They "talk my ear off," and are always looking in my cart to see what I am buying, LOL. If you haven't already, you will find some friends too. These people would be considered a bit stange by some of my regular friends and neighbors., LOL. I don't care, because I KNOW I am a bit strange myself. At the age of 50 or more, this is what happens to you. You don't care as much about what the neighbors think, LOL.

Has anyone seen the recent ads in your local TV station for a site called couponsuzy dot com. She says you can print free coupons and when I checked, it has a link to coupons dot com. Not sure why she has a website for that

Is anyone else hounding less because of the cost of gas? I know with the changes that my CVS has recently implemented I am no longer willing to run down there like I used to even though it is really close to my home.

Has anyone else noticed that the 20% off CVS Qs say "Excludes sale item"? I don't buy anything at CVS except sale items.

Gas is $3.50 here. I used to run out during my lunch, but now I make a stop at the grocery store or Rite Aid on my way home for the deals. I pass both on my way to pick up the boys. Giant Eagle - Crest Toothbrushes & Toothpaste - $1. There are 75 cent q's in 2/27 P&G and these are doubled. Pick up another item to cover the overage. A guy here at work just went and got 4 of each and made 50 cents on each one. He bought some gum and paid 63 cents for all of it.

HOUND ALERT: COLGATE MM AT WAGS Just went to Wags at lunch and one of the varieties of Colgate Total is on clearance for 1.79. There was a TON of it at my store. I tried it and it gives the $3 RR. There is $1/1 MC in the Diabetes & You book in the store, so, pay .79 after coupon and get $3 RR back!

Yeah!! I just saved AT LEAST $30!! DH has been sick AGAIN for about a week and a half. He picked something up on his business travel to Denver last week and it has effected his throat and voice. DH HATES being sick (who doesn't) and even though I looked down his throat and could not see anything and he has not run a fever, he wanted to go to the doctor. Well, we have Kaiser and thank goodness they have a service where you can speak to a dr. over the phone. If the dr. believes that you have something other than a virus, then you make an appointment to go in ($30 co-pay); if not, they advise you over the phone as to what to do and what to take ($0 co-pay). If had not been for this service, DH would have had to drive across town (time and gas), expose himself to other sick people, pay a $30 co-pay, and then $10 for the OTC med the dr. recommended. Due to the service, we saved the $30 co-pay and just had to pay $10 for the OTC med. DS happened to be coming over and was on that side of town so he picked the med up for DH. For years, I was wondering why on earth no doctor provided such a service. I just assumed that they wanted to collect co-pays. Maybe Kaiser has taken on soooo many patients that it is more cost effective for them to do this. Whatever the reason, I really like it.

dancinmama and other CA shoppers, We may not have the SCR items again this week at RA. My friend just got her ad through the mail and she says she cannot see any of the SCR items in there. I will not get the ad in the mail until Friday night or sometimes until I get the paper, so if I have time, I will go grab one tomorrow and report. Suzi, If you get your ad today, can you check and confirm? TIA

NAG but it's about good deals on other free items. I was talking with a coworker because I was teaching her ebates and told her I recently bought my contacts through coastal contacts because of price/rebate/and percentage of cash back through ebates and was really impressed with their customer service. Then she told me she saw on their facebook page they had free glasses they were giving away so I immediately looked into it. Unfortunately my state of Ohio isn't on there but I put in request for them to add it, but maybe somebody else will need a pair and score so here are the details. So go to their facebook page to like it, the click FREE glasses. All you pay is $14 for shipping. March 2- Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri residents (12pm Central) CLOSED March 3- Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee residents (They still have 800 codes left to get free glasses) March 4- Utah, Arizona, Idaho March 7- Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana March 8- New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware March 9- District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia March 10-Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts March 12- Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont March 13- Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas

Dancin: I gotcha! I was really surprised how thick of a coupon book they sent me and it had 3 coupons for each type all the way through June. I was just excited because normally I get $0.25Qs and it had $1.

My mom gets a 10% discount and I could buy all of them on her card and submit them on my SCR account and DS's SCR account (I think ), but still. I had planned on cashing in A LOT of my UPs.
