And cars are exactly the same!! Not at all. Auto tech has advanced and not always in good ways. In the before times, windows were rolled up with a handle, and if it failed, your window did not crash below window level or other exciting things. BMW uses a scissor action thing for its windows and requires active current and certain electronic parts to stay alive. They fail anytime they want, and my car did not control for requested perceived speed on the center console, so when my purse, accidently hit the passenger side window control hard, the window shot down and broke the pulley system. No window to pull up. Except for perhaps Teslas, most modern cars are much harder to work on and require more specialized software and way too many sensors IMO. I guess I need a sarcasm emoji

I guess I need a sarcasm emoji I used to ask Dark to use one. Work is constant non stop like white water rafting minus most of the fun. Tonight b4 I left work, an aide asked me to call maintenance about a minor issue, paper towels or some such. I had already stayed an extra hour and was handing off admission info etc. to someone who would have been walking out the door except our coworker had an emergency. We have one, uno, person who might be on shift in maintenance. Sometimes it is zero and we don't find about the call out usually later. So I try to get the person to look for the one who should be working. But no, too busy, as if that doesn't summarize weeks of weekday work for me. So I try hand the person the radio to call. Didn't take it, did a passing whine and walked away. So ... IMO you just proved it really isn't that important. So I get back to the necessary and remind the person covering most of the second shift what to do & feel free to just stop when its time. I will deal with it in the morning if needed. We are both over stupid. More drama queens than usual, but that usually happens with the hot weather.

So effing . My first car I could gap my own spark plugs, change the plug wires, etc. My new vehicle came with a manual, along with a "condensed", basic manual of about 75 pages. When I tried to read the latter, I fell asleep.

There are brief moments in my life when I doubt whether I am Queen of the universe.
Luckily they pass.
