Ok, just sharing personal moment  Sent this to my favorite child today and this was his reply: Well, I’ve never seen you with rollers in your hair, and those two kitchen utensils, I’m pretty sure you’ve never used them or know the proper names of them. But I love you anyway….  I should add I have naturally curly hair hence no rollers. And he has alway felt cursed with my “hair gene” instead of his dad’s always neat in place straight hair. Can't wait for Tennesseer response to this post.  Get a 24 bottle case of beer in NoNamePerson and she's on her way in the kitchen even if she has no idea what she's making let alone doing. |

For those on the declutter thread! That looks like my brother's 3 car garage prior to it burning down. Would you believe he ended up getting over $30,000 out of insurance for much of his "antique" junk? Some folks have all the luck. |

I appreciate my parents. They moved off the farm they had lived on for 55 year, had an auction, got rid of everything except what they could have in their townhouse in town. They did the purge themselves.

For those on the declutter thread! It took us a couple of years to fully excavate our parents' house. It took me 3 years to clean out my parent's house, and the garage. Had to do a bit of remodeling to get it up to code before it could go on the market, too.  |

I will be interested to see what my kids will think is valuable. My husband has a lot of stuff in storage that the kids won't even associate with him. But things that are present in their childhood may get a different response. I am not sentimental either, so I have thrown out so much stuff my mom has brought me, and then she tossed her Granddad's foot locker from the Army. It was falling apart, but still I totally wanted that. 😩 |
