Hint: It has to do with street lights. I only got part of the abbreviation, so I checked with AI, and you managed to stump the "intelligence". We CAN still outsmart computers. Awesome! (Oh, and I got the rest of it thanks to Bing.)

I sent the complete answer to toomuchreality as a message within a SPOILER. The most shocking thing my siblings and I ever saw or heard our mother do when we were small was give a driver who cut her of the middle finger. We kids snickered. And our parents would never, ever, yell outside something like GYAITMFHRNBIBYA because we lived across the street from our Catholic Church and Catholic grammar school. God forbid the Catholic priests and nuns should hear that.

He was about 8 and said none of his friends moms used it. Hence my private signal.

Me tooo! I hate numbers. I'm good at numbers, but really struggled with Algebra. I heard recently that they've realized there's actually a learning disability that is tied to Algebra. I probably have it, as I remember struggling for hours some nights trying to complete my homework. And no, I've never needed it in real life, as I can figure out ways to compute stuff out without it, so why torture all students, except those who actually are going into careers that will need it? I'd get more mileage out of sewing & shop class in my life.

Seems a little young to track kids into a non-academic career path.

Seems a little young to track kids into a non-academic career path. You'd be shocked how early they begin tracking students. I remember in middle school they actually had official paperwork on which students were most likely to end up in prison, and tried to plan to improve their potential future.
