One of the content mills that I write for has recently said that they are going to open hiring again. They only do this once or twice per year. They pay $20 per 400 word article, on just about any topic under the sun. You can write about anything from escort services to medical topics to landscaping to legal. The site is writersdomain dot net. I know a couple people mentioned they would like to do something on the side from home, and this is one of the better options if you can write. And, it doesn't require a high level of writing, just basic articles with a bit of research.

It now says registration is closed. I signed up for the waiting list.

Are they... um... fastidious... in fact-checking their articles? About... say... wild animals?

Go to the web page, Virgil. Your writing would be great for them except for plagerism.
Something has sucked the creativity right out of me. No, it's not the spotted uncia.

You need to be wait-listed then they hire from that. They also now offer premium articles if your writing is good. They are 600 words and pay $40. I now have the rating for premiums and am hoping I get to do them soon!

Truthbound,
They always wait list and hire 2 times each year. They are actively hiring right now.
My time on the waiting list was less than a week....

I've waited longer than a week for a good writing opportunity.

Rocky. Have you done your writing sample yet? They're still reviewing mine.

I did. Nothing came back for several days, and then they sent me an email because I hadn't done the grammar test yet. There were no links on the website to the grammar test, but the link was in the email I'd received. They apparently want both before they get back to you. Have you done the test?

No - I couldn't find an option to complete it after I submitted my sample. I guess I'll wait to get an email! A grammar test... *swoon*

No - I couldn't find an option to complete it after I submitted my sample. I guess I'll wait to get an email! A grammar test... *swoon* It was in my email labeled "Activating your account". I'll paste the link in for you, because I had to go back and retrieve it from this one location alone. 1.Take the grammar test. The grammar test is timed and should be completed in under 15 minutes. To take the grammar test, please go to www.proprofs.com/quiz-school/story.php?title=NzAxNzAzPSJJ
It's not too hard, about 35 questions and you have time to look up a couple of things if you're unsure. You'll do fine!

I signed up on the waiting list. No response. I guess they did not like my sign up.

Nancy, it took like a month of me being on the waitlist before I got a notice that they were open again. Their website does say it's taking registration, though, so I'd just go there and sign up and see if you can do the writing sample!

Nancy, I'm sure they'll get to you! I just got the email on Monday, and I applied to the waitlist more than a month ago.
Rocky - thanks for the link! In my fantasy world, everyone would be required to take/pass that grammar test in order to have internet posting privileges (not much of an issue here, but everywhere else...)
And since I am being critical of others' grammar, I'm sure this post contains at least two mistakes.

I'm probably the most pathetic. I didn't apply for the registration but took the grammar test anyway. Yay! It had some personal favorites on there. Lose/loose, advice/advise, sell/sale.

Here's my first tip as a newbie: Pay attention to the due dates. I wrote an article yesterday that had a due date sometime in early July. Now I realize that they review articles as needed per the due dates, so I may have to wait a while to see if my article was accepted. Bummer! I may try another one this weekend with a much earlier due date to see if I can get some quicker feedback.

Do you guys find out where your stuff is published or is it just a "thanks, here's your money" thing?
