Someone explain this one to me- looking at you Tennesseer
Tennessee is as red of the necks of the majority. What possible purpose does this serve? I think he was just late to catch a glimpse of the Prince. Harry- not Mongo

Can you at least provide a link to know what it is you're talking about?

First I even heard about it, EVT. There was no pre-visit buzz about Paul's visit.
I doubt anything will change because of his visit. Additionally the pastors are really useless-all preach and no action. The majority of pastors only focus their ire on one social issue (the problem of the gays (not sure why they focus on this as homosexuality 'does not exist in the black community')) but are mostly silent or impotent on the issues of crime, single motherhood and poverty.

What would Rand Paul be "atoning" for exactly?

Remember when he said it should be ok for a business to refuse service to African Americans?
If he wants to run for president it will take more than white people voting- so that's what I thought this was about- to start fixing his image. But why Memphis?

Because he was hungry for ribs from the Rendevous Restaurant which has better ribs than anywhere in all of Kentucky.

No, I don't remember that. But, are you going to also put up Harry Reid's comments and Biden's comments and try to make hay out of those and paint them as racists too?

So, Rand Paul's "associations" somehow matter but Obama's associations don't? Wow what a bull pucky hit piece. How ridiculous. I am getting sick of listening to the "republicans as racists" stupid card. Wow.

But, when in doubt run out and play the RACE card. You really have no credibility when you do that.

But, when in doubt run out and play the RACE card. You really have no credibility when you do that. Shooby, it is true that Memphis has a large population of black people. Unfortunately, it is still true that race matters sometimes in Memphis. It is also true that the majority of the population of black people in Memphis are much more likely to vote for Democrats than Republicans. Like the OP, I'm curious about why he chose Memphis. The rest of the state is big enough and vote similarly (is that a word? lol) enough that how Memphians vote hasn't really mattered when it comes to winning national elections.

I am really getting tired of the attempt to paint Republicans as racists. Enough is enough.

To my knowledge nobody has attempted to characterize all Republicans as racist. That's silly. Only half of 'em.

Oh, yeah, and your source is Bill Moyers. Uh, huh. Just more liberal baloney. So I am sure you will point out what is false.....
I didn't call Rand Paul a racist either- just said he had an image problem with black people.
