Wait just a dang minute! I thought Israel was an evil, oppressive, racists dictatorship?!? Isn't it interesting that in an unholy alliance, the left completely agrees with the islamists on the notion that Israel is the bad buy in the middle east, but when you look at how Israel treats peaceful immigrants of different races and religions and compare that just to the way it's middle eastern neighbors treat their own people- let alone considering how a jew would be treated in "Palestine", Syria, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, or you name it...and I think the truth is on full display, but some just will not see it.
Israel can be a friend to any nation that chooses peace. The islamic nations, and in particular the terrorist government of "Palestine" simply do not want peace.

It keeps amazing me how so many people can be so supportive of all these vicious Israel haters. What is in people's minds?? The majority must be right?? No- in this case the majority that wants to commit genocide on one tiny country are wrong.

interesting as well to look at the starting point of Israel and its Arab neighbors economically since 1948 and where they are now. In 1948 living standards were about the same for both sides. And now? What a difference a democratic system makes.

Even over a shorter time period, it's shocking. If you look at the territory Israel ceded to the PA in the early 2000s, they have turned it from a thriving agricultural area the Israelis created through hydroponic farming techniques and brilliant irrigation design back into useless barren desert, in less than 10 years...

I also support fully of a Jewish State, however I have some questions of the current government and it's leaders on certain actions in their so called negotiations with the PA at least, West Bank, ...but now with what is happening in the middle east, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and even overtures made to iran by the Saudis , plus Hamas in Gaza, and the up coming elections in Septenmber on the West bank, , while I have the questions still, possible now is not the time to ask them...

it strikes me that billions in aid also went to numerous Arab states including, the Palestinian authority, but the results as of 2011 are vastly different

You would be wrong on that wyouser...
Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II. From 1976-2004, Israel was the largest annual recipient of U.S. foreign assistance, having since been supplanted by Iraq. Since 1985, the United States has provided nearly $3 billion in grants annually to Israel.

African nations have received many, many, many billions of dollars of aid from the US and other nations, and it hasn't done much to help them.
Also, the US is virtually the only country that gives aid to Israel. Other Arab nations recieve aid from the US as well as many other nations, and the results speak for themselves...

I wonder how many of the people who find fault with Israel's response to the idyllic loving touch that gets bestowed on it periodically by it's neighbors feels about Arizona's response to Mexican paperless immigrants and the loving benelovence they show to their hosts, the residents of the Arizona outback.

Being a tad hard core - I think both Israel and Arizona should defend themselves and those that trespass deserve what they get

You 2 are great. Actually, Gov Brewer has a fund going to defend the state from the Feds. She has collected millions so far, and has not had to use state funds for any of our defensive legal actions against the feds yet. It really is a matter of national security, and fiscal responsibility for the entire US. Just like Israel. If Israel did not do everything they do they would be wiped out in no time. AZ just has one border to worry about. Israel is surrounded.
