With Lobbyists at Off-Site Locations to Avoid DetectionPolitico says it has uncovered a stubborn little detail about the Obama administration’s practices regarding meeting with lobbyists. Sources, including actual lobbyists, tell the news outlet the administration regularly meets with them outside the White House — in a nearby complex — in order to hide the meetings from visitor logs and the public. Politico opens its report this way: Caught between their boss’ anti-lobbyist rhetoric and the reality of governing, President Barack Obama’s aides often steer meetings with lobbyists to a complex just off the White House grounds — and several of the lobbyists involved say they believe the choice of venue is no accident. No surprise to me. He has not met or called, not even one time, at least 6 of his cabinet members since he took office. BUT-- he meets with that thug union leader a few times a week, and talks to him every day on the phone. Sorry, no link, I'm in a hurry, but there ARE links about this.
Obama is a shady character. Transparent?? No, I don't think so.

But in the mean time, here is a picture of President Obama and his cabinet. I think they met.  As for calling his cabinet members directly? Maybe, just maybe, the president's assistant contacts the cabinet member's office, speaks with the cabinet member's assistant first to see if he or she is in and then connects the cabinet member to the president. There are also links flesh-eating zombies are walking amongst the living too but that doesn't make it true. |
