www.cnbc.com/id/41721766Some traders say $4 a gallon will be a reality in the not-too-distant future, and prices could shoot even higher. But that might be the exception rather than the average in the United States this year unless the Middle East unrest spreads to Saudi Arabia or another major oil producer, according to Thomas Kloza, chief analyst at OPIS.

Well, I hope the people can be bought off, personally. If this stuff hits Saudi Arabia things will get much worse than they already are. God bless the Amish with their little horse drawn carriages. Ahead of the curve they are..

Ahead of the curve they are.. It cost me about $4/day to commute on the motorcycle at the current gas and insurance prices. The daily costs just to own horse (on your own property) can run $5-10/day depending on COL and how much you can actually do yourself.

Saudi Arabia??
They will increase their wealth from Oil during this crisis by increasing their production of Oil to make up for any losses from Libya or other North African or Middle East Countries...@$120 per barrel the Saudis can now fund Islamic Terrorists with even more megabillions..while they praise Obama for his work with Muslims

Hey, PI- was 9/11 really about the US involvement in Saudi Arabia, or something like that?

I don't know but Osama Bin Laden is a Saudi and several of the Islamic terrorists who flew planes into the Twin Towers and Pentagon were Saudis...a Saudi was just arrested in Lubbock Texas with plans to launch a WMD weapon......
Osama Bin Laden did say one of the reasons for 9/11 was that our troops were based in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Desert Storm in 1991..
Ron Paul has said we brought 9/11 on ourselves by having troops stationed in Islamic Countries.....but as you recall John McCain and Rudi Giuliani disagreed vehemently with Dr No when he made that comment...but many Libertarians agree with him, I think??

Thx. Yeah, it is hard to nail it down. The whole WHY of 9/11, the wars, etc. Several new books out by Repubs from that time I have not read. If I can get some spare money I want to read them.

the saudis fund terrorism, terrorism indoctrination. saud made a pact with the wahabbists so that he could become king.
basically it's this.
we'll fund and tolerate wahabbist terrorist training, if you don't overthrow my regime.
and yes US troops stationed and then staying in saudi arabia is what really pissed obl off.

Interesting you brought that up why? because it's integral to the whole mess and should be understood by all? and shows why the saudis aren't our friends, but really our enemies( no matter what neocons say?)

Work, not everything is so black and white..friends in international relations..each country has their own agendas..we have ours, they have theirs...the Saudis , they are our friend..and in all friendships , there are differences of opinion and even anger at times...and if you think we , meaning the ole USA, are all ways so innocent... If a country has something of value to us, either in where they are located, a product they have a lot of which is important to our or our others friends well being..that will play into how we react..and how we conduct ourselves with them versus friends who have neither of those, just friendship.

Neither Egypt, nor Saudi Arabia is a "monster". They do not run their countries in the same way we do. They do not hold the same spiritual beliefs our majority holds. They do not meet your expectations. Shame on them! Then again, neither Egypt, nor Saudi Arabia are your country.

I loved Saudi Arabia, and the Saudis; however, I wasn't overly fond of the royal family. Where's the difference? Most feel the same way about most countries and their governments. Are they all "monsters"? In that case, we must be "monsters", too.

And let's not try as a rebuttal Iraq and Afghanistan, unless you are ready to say out loud that GWB blew up the WTC etc on 9/11.

Yeah, the Saudis are our "friends", just like Egypt was......... so what is the deal here?? We play with monsters, then when they get real pissed off, the Bilderbergs switch out our POTUS to try to buy us some time?? And on and on and on.. About those Build-A-Burger folks: Build-A-Burger is a popular fast food restaurant and the main fundraising mechanism of the vast Jewish International Baker One World Government conspiracy under the umbrella company Build-A-Burger International Ltd Inc LLC (NYSE:NWO). The CEO is a Rothschild. They are well known by their easily recognizable slogan "Have It Our Way...Or Else!", the jingle of the same name, sung by Owlex Jones, and the Masonic dress of the waitstaff. Despite what the name implies, you may not customize any aspect of your meal, as individuality is highly frowned upon. One must be subservient to the Build-A-Burger Company's "Comprehensive Food Regimen" or CFR. Build-A-Burger franchises are considered secondary shrines of pilgrimage (Second to Ground Zero, of course) for adherents to the Ninelevenist religion. They never partake of the food, but rather collect grainy video footage for their "research" library. Food The Classic Build-A-Burger with Freedom FriesBuild-A-Burger prides itself in the quality of its 99.9% pure angus beef patties, flown fresh daily from the altar of the slaughterhouse at Bohemian Grove to all of its 666 locations worldwide. (The remaining 0.1% is a mixture of the equipment's unbaptized baby residue, fluoride, and RFID chip) In the continuing campaign to pervert all the religions of the world, all hamburgers must be served with bacon and cheese to ensure they are kept inconsistent with kosher and Halal dietary practices. The signature dish is a double bacon cheeseburger with a cognac special sauce spread between the two patties. When served, the sauce is lit aflame, causing a novel flash from the inside out. The burger is called the Twin Towers. A seasonal favorite is the "Passion of the Faust", a burger with extra ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes, and a crispy communion wafer. It's served on Fridays during Lent. Atmosphere An Owlex Jones Cash Recieving IdolBuild-A-Burger is unique in that there is no front counter. Patrons simply sit at a table. The All-Seeing Eye in the center of the ceiling monitors all conversations and as soon as one mentions their food preference, an order is placed in their name. The inside of the restaurant is decorated with images of pyramids, Stars of David, and a whole variety of Euclidean geometric patterns, signifying Build-A-Burger's true inner knowledge of the cosmos to patrons who might doubt or question Build-A-Burger's supreme authority on Earth. The outside is shaped like a giant pyramid with a burger in place of the eye. This represents "mmm mmm tastyness". Owlex Jones, the restaurant's mascot, is a 9'11" tall wooden owl that has been featured on children's television, billboards, newspapers, and various media outlets. His world renowned catchphrase is "If you can't get it at Build-A-Burger, then don't eat!". This has received criticism and protests from many developing nations, but these demonstrations were usually shut down within a matter of hours. Meals are paid on the way out by offering payment to a life-sized handcarved version of the mascot Owlex Jones near the exit. The owl accepts only Federal Reserve Notes through a slit in its beak, resembling a coke machine. Hmmm. I can't recall any American head ever having been removed in either Egypt, or Saudi Arabia. I guess some lump all Islamic peoples into one big bunch and then spread them around a bit, like jam on toast.

Are they all "monsters"? In that case, we must be "monsters", too. To be honest..and I will go with the left when Bush was in power by some, no not me , though I was not happy on so many counts, but to be honest..just think of the comments against the President today, the parties ...and then you can say in all honesty...we are no different then any one else, as far as our rhetoric, not one bit. Before one criticizes others..look in a mirror first. I will say on this new zone, I find better non belligerent discussions by most, still the criticism which are fine but the rhetoric, IMHO, much more acceptable by most , and I think it's a good thing. Honestly I believe it's because we have a more evenly split feeling by posters on the political here then before and for some, I don't think they are happy with that situation. I could be wrong but that is my opinion.

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, the Saudi student arrested Thursday on charges that he planned to build bombs for terror attacks inside the United States, was granted a U.S. student visa after qualifying for a generous scholarship sponsored by Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah, according to the indictment against him. (Read the FBI affidavit supporting an arrest warrant. The affidavit describes the evidence against Aldawsari.) Aldawsari was one of more than 10,000 Saudi students granted student visas in 2008, an NBC News analysis of the visa program shows. Indeed, the number of Saudi students approved for entry into the United States has jumped more than fourfold since 15 young Saudis helped carry out the attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. At the same time, visas granted to other Middle East nations dropped often precipitously or remained at the same level. The analysis shows that 26,744 Saudi students received US F-1 and F-2 visas in 2010, up from 6,836 in 2001. The numbers have steadily increased as the Kingdom has provided financing for students, believing the students' exposure to the U.S. and its education system would help US-Saudi relations. openchannel.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/02/24/6014237-after-911-us-gave-more-visas-to-saudi-students

Saudi Arabia has sent dozens of tanks to Bahrain, where anti-government protests continue for about two weeks, Egypt's Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper said on Tuesday. Eyewitnesses reported seeing "15 tank carriers carrying two tanks each heading towards Bahrain" along the 25-km King Fahd causeway, which links the small island nation of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia. en.rian.ru/world/20110301/162803894.html
