Creepiest thing a kid has ever said to you?

The morning of the appointment where we found out Aubree had passed I was getting Aly ready to go to my mom's. She was mad about me changing her diaper so she kicked me really hard in the stomach. I told her that she had to be nice to baby Aubree. She looked me dead in the eyes and said "No, Mom. Aubree's all gone." And that's when I knew it too.

Now Aly talks about her sister and calls Aubree her friend. She loves to look at the pictures of her and talks about her like she knows her well. Makes me wonder sometimes.

Man, I wish I had told my parents more creepy stuff when I was a child.  You know, just to keep them on their toes. 

My mom once told me that when I was in kindergarten, I used to draw pictures of her burning in a fire, so they sent me to the headshrinker, and now I'm all better! 

I said, "now I'm ALL BETTER."

So many years later I still remember that day. When he passed away that day my aunt was a mess (obviously) but I remebered in the evening what he had said the day before when asking for mac n cheese. Told my parents  and they got the creeps too.

i'll never know why he behaved that way, but I have come to believe there is much we don't know about after life. I am a wuss, so I don't dwell on the thought too much or else I will live goose bumps etched permanently on my skin.

I sent DS to a military boarding school for HS, and realized he was likely to run into some colorful characters. Which he did.

He once told me, "I'll never try heroin because I know kids who have been through heroin withdrawal and they say it's hell."

Hmmm... was that statement good news or bad news?

In his case, I think it was. That message was probably way more effective coming from someone with personal experience than just hearing Mom say, "don't do drugs".

The neighborhood I grew up in had a sweet old lady. She told me she lost a sibling when she was a child, & saw his soul leave his body. When she told that to her mother (as a child), her Mom said "you shouldn't say such things". But, the family's Pastor told the Mom not to correct her daughter, because children are more in tune to spirituality than adults...

My brother used to be a sleepwalker/talker.  One night he walked into my parents bedroom, tapped mom on the shoulder and said "When our house burns down, we'll go to heaven right?"

Frankly, he said a lot of creepy shit when he was sleepwalking.  Made worse by the fact that he was like 5 and said it all in a very soft voice.  My parents had to put a lock on my door because I kept waking up to him just standing beside my bed motionless and it was creeping me the hell out.

 my niece sleepwalks something awful. But she usually is just looking for someone to crawl into bed next to. When we were visiting 3 kees after they moved into the new house, she managed to navigated from her room, down stairs and crawl onto the air matress with DH and I. Scared the beejeezus out of me when I woke up and found her sleeping there.

He outgrew the creepy stuff around age 7-8.  He still walked around occasionally but much reduced (he was doing it every night basically at one point).  7-8 was the time he stopped trying to do things like leave the house while sleepwalking as well.

I remembered one from older daughter. When she was around two or so, she was drawing pictures with my dad and she asked him to draw a killing machine.

My father died in July 2006 a few days after his birthday. Last year in July on anniversary of the day he died, I woke up to my son, who had just turned two, standing at the end of his crib waving to the door to the apartment saying "Don! Don!" (my father's name). I picked him up and changed him and he kept twisting to look at the door. As we walked by the door he waved again and goes "Bye bye Don!" Totally creeped me out. It was around the time of day he died too.

When DS was about 2 he was sitting at the dining room table eating lunch. In the house we lived in at the time, you could walk from the kitchen to the dining room to the living room to a small hall back into the kitchen again, in a circle. I was working in the kitchen and DS started to say "Hi, HI! HI!" and I looked from the kitchen into the dining room to see him still sitting in his chair but leaned far over to the side so that he could look into the living room - and he was waving excitedly. I thought maybe a neighborhood kid had slipped into the house through the front door, so I walked from the kitchen through the dining room to the living room but there was no one there. As soon as I walked into the dining room DS stopped waving and went back to eating. When I asked him who he was waving at, he said 'the little boy.' I asked him WHAT little boy, and he just shrugged and said THE LITTLE BOY!! like I was an idiot for asking. 

DS never had imaginary friends, and I squatted down to his vantage point to see if there was a picture on the wall or a window that might have reflected back his image to him, but there was nothing.

Creeped me out, but it wasn't the only thing that happened in that house that did. Glad we moved.
