Except for it's a little more opaque, that looks like the apple moonshine a bar where I am has. The stuff goes down smooth, but whew they pour such a big shot (at least 2oz) that taking a shot of it puts you into dangerous territory.

The jars do take on an "opaque" look - mason jars tend to do that - but the liquid inside is usually more "clear".
I've made home-made Kahlúa and Bailey's in the past (not recently though) and the results are usually close to the "original" - slightly different recipe and concept than this recipe though - and it "ages" in a cool dark cupboard or basement, etc.
I guess in this case of the Apple Pie Liqueur, if you're going for taste, the appearance shouldn't really matter.
