Love the stories! I'll feel better when it happens to me with my now 2 year old DD.

did I tell you guys about the time last year when I accidentally fed DS jalapeno pepper cheddar? We were at the Amish market trying the cheeses (they have little sample cubes and toothpicks) and I took a piece of jalapeno cheddar for myself to try - it was great! I picked up another piece but DH started talking to me and DS took it,put it in his mouth and started chewing! I knew he liked it, but he slowly stopped chewing and his eyes got all red and watery. He was giving us this confused look like "why is my mouth on fire?" We frantically grabbed a small bottle of milk out of the nearest fridge, paid for it and gave it to him. I have never seen him drink so fast! So yeah, that's my Mommy Fail story.

2 years ago on New Years Day, I dislocated DS's elbow. Yep, I lost MOTY before the year was even a day old. I felt bad about it for the entire year.

moneyjenny- my friends did something similar when we were all out to dinner one night. Both families love Indian food and we eat family style when we go out together. Meaning that for the 8 of us we order 5 or 6 dishes, a big plate of rice and a couple of things of Naan. There was a wide variety of dishes on the table in varying degrees of spicy. My friend was busy talking and when her one year old pointed to a dish he wanted she scooped some up and put it on his plate. He dug into and like 30 seconds later shot her this look that said "why did you do this to me!!" They started alternating between naan, basmati rice and water until he stopped giving them dirty looks and went back to eating like normal.
We then took a few minutes to rearrange the platters of food so the spicy ones weren't in his direct reach or line of sight.
