Update:13 NSDs and 1CSD
I did really well all week until yesterday. Made a major stock up run to Sam's yesterday and a grocery run this morning for some other items. I do have off tomorrow and a trip to the mall is in the plans as I have a few items on my needs list that I have to replace asap. Also a medical appointment in the morning. So tomorrow will probably be another spend day. Plus another housework day. Finally finishing up all the holiday pickup items with a few weeks before I start with the Mardi Gras decorations. I don't really celebrate by going to the parades and such but I do try to get somewhat in the spirit. Wishing all of you a good week.

I don't know if I can do this but I am going to try. My NSD's will probably end up being CSD's because I will be getting groceries from work as I need them and not doing a grocery run. I don't have the gas to do a grocery run but I do have the gas to go to work.

I am trying to have only one more spending day this month. I have enough groceries on hand to last. I am trying hard to eat up everything I have on hand. I am taking lunch to work, and bringing candy in a sandwich bag. I bring about 8 or 9 Hershey kisses in case I crave sugar or need a buzz to cope with a coworker who is working my nerves. I am not the only one who does that. The fireman who has the vending machines as a side business is making some money at the post office.

I've spent time on YM & I feel rich!! I don't owe so I guess I have a massive EF and can do that catered dinner for GD1s BD next weekend (hold it -- hold it -- hold it, not doing it ~~ will have to be pizza). Actually 1 account paying this Tuesday so my business account will be able to reimburse my personal account. Don't go off on me, Sum Dum Gai. My books are very straight forward (although personal didn't charge business interest on the float). Was $2.12 ____ will be $872.12

It saved on gym membership. Pat yourself on the back.

Yep. Good day would've been better if Kaepernick didn't throw that last interception in the end zone with 22 sec to go

Well, no new CSD's yesterday. I had to purchase a particular piece for a costume I'm making.

3catslady: 7/10 NSD, 15/19 CSD, 0/2 eating out days.
I have been buying frozen veggies and chicken legs and thighs for my evening meals. I now need to incorporate fruits into my meals. I do use applesauce, peaches, peaches in jello and rice pudding in my meals. I also use rice and potato in my meals. I don't buy frozen tv dinners or I haven't bought them for a while. I still buy pizza every now and then.

3/31 CSD (so far)
Like 3cats I have been trying to watch my grocery spending. My 3 spending days have been for groceries (and one $8 universal remote control- now if I can only program it). I am concentrating on vegetables and trying to eat the meat and chicken I have in the freezer. Last Fall I used my Foodsaver and vacuum sealed meat I got BOGO so there is plenty for now. Safeway had Tilapia on deep sale earlier this month so I have some of that, too. I, too, need to add more fruits. Last weekend I made a yummy garlic hummus-much better than store bought and a healthy snack. It is definitely cheaper to cook at home, but more work!
However, spending my time on healthier cooking saves money and gives me less time for spending.

I still haven't spend out of want, just groceries, gas, and cat stuff, and of course, my meds. It is all controlled spending so I am doing okay. I wanted to eat our the other night but I also wanted to get home and plug the heater in so my room would be warm. I only unplug it when I am going to be away for less than 4 hours. When this place is warm, it stays warm for a long time. Nest year I am going to get a heater that I cam program to a certain degree. Neither of the ones I have do that. But then they only cost less than $20 to buy.

I have made my NSD goal and if I don't go out in this cold, I will go over it. I still have 2 days to eat out or 1 day to spend. That spend will be gas, groceries (maybe) and laundry. I don't work until Friday because they are cutting hours at work. I have enough food on hand to last me until the 2nd of February so I may not get groceries. My gas needle is at half and I really don't like it to go below that in the winter so I will get gas tomorrow or Friday. As for eating out, I don't think that will happen. I haven't been in the mood for anything other than what I have here at the house or what I get at the store.

Gonna hunker down for another round of snow tonight. And it doesn't help my attitude that a friend is posting pics on Facebook of her time in Mexico right now!

I did laundry today and talked myself out of stopping at BK or either of the hoagie shops along the way home. I am having a baked potato with chili and cheese. I have a feeling that next month, I am going to eat out a few times. My cupboards are almost bare and I haven't gone to the grocery store other than bringing things home from the store where I work.

Well, if I count every day I spent a penny, I did not make my 14 CS/17NS. If I only count days where I spent $5 or more, I went 9CS/22NS.

Update:22 NSDs and 3 CSDs
Hope all of you have been doing well and staying warm. The deep south is beginning to warm up again. I know that for those of you who consistently have icy/snowy weather that you have enjoying laughing at us as we deal with the icy conditions but remember that we do not have the equipment and knowledge to deal with severe winter conditions. We are more familiar with the severe heat/humidity of the summer.
Things have been busy and the weather has been such that I usually just go to school and come back home. We even had two days off this week because of the icy road conditions. I was able to catch up with a lot of grading and even completed several beading projects since my friends and I are considering a few spring craft shows. They are usually not as busy but it does give us an opportunity to show our crafts and perhaps gain some new customers. I am trying to be creative and only work the items in my stash without buying anything new to complete a project. Of course I did place a major order at the end of the year so my stash is well supplied. Currently I am remaking some of the items that were popular items this past year if I have the supplies on hand. I have several new projects in mind but I am saving them for any weekend free time as I have to spend more time concentrating on what I am doing until I get the project down.
I also have several meetings after school this coming week so as usual I will pop in as I can. Take care and I will see you next month if not before.
Just realized that tomorrow will be my 6th anniversary on this thread.

I was rather naughty in January. I bought a solid cherry desk that I had wanted for a long time. I found it at auction for a great price. So, I put down the money.

Grits-- not naughty, just a well considered planned purchase at an opportune time.
I went ahead and started the February thread.
