Saveinla, I went to your farmer's market this morning and stood in line for the eggs that must be amazing since people were lined up down the sidewalk for them--and not expensive either! I can't wait to try them. Nice market, I got just a few other things, including a delicious cucumber that I paid too much for but I really wanted a cuke. It's delicious. Yeah - if you had let me know I would have stopped by. We got the eggs last week and still have a few so I did not come today. Isn't that line crazy? Unless you go very early, the wait time is more than half an hour at least. Hope you enjoy them soon since they are great when they are fresh. You should also try the cauliflower & broccoli from the girl across the egg shop.

This week I will stock up on frozen bags of veggies for .38/bag. I think I have 8 coupons which will get me 16 bags. I have a lot of veggies in the freezer but I use them with basically every meal so we go through them frequently.
I'll also get the 4 packs of pudding for lunches for .58/pack, which is .15 cents a pudding.
This is all at Weis grocery stores, which has several items on sale this week for .88 when you buy 8 items.

Ha ha, I just got done looking at the ad. I don't usually shop there, even though I pass one on my way to work. I do like the .88 sales. I have coupons for the Green Giant boxed veggies, the Rotel and Wolf Chili. There is WAY more at that price than what's in the ad (says 500 items in the circular) so I really want to go when I have time to just wander around...not likely to happen though.

I went into RA today looking for those tissue's Connie, nothing I price checks all 3 on the shelf. But I did get to see a new store they have and it was very Fancy. Really nice. I must start hunting for deals again. I saw ARM and hammer 2/$4 not a bad price but I need soap in about 7 years so I can hold off on that one

The most I've been doing these days is price matching items at Walmart. Had I got everything on my list yesterday without doing anything, my total would've been $52.46. Price matching took it down to $35.39, and I had $2.00 in MQ's so my final total was $33.39. Most of what I bought was produce. I got green peppers for $.50 each, pineapple $1.29, 5 lb. bag of red potatoes $.99, bananas $.39 lb., grape tomatoes $.69, oranges $2.99 4 lb. bag, red peppers $1.00, Kraft shredded cheese $1.99, broccoli $1.00, russet potatoes $1.59 and a few grocery items.
I will go to Kroger for my gas cards, Friday freebies and a few other things but that's about it. I haven't shopped CVS since before Christmas and am done with Rite Aid for the time being.
I made my own Ranch dressing seasoning packets, so I saved money there by using spices I had on hand.

It was the 172 ct Kleenex "colors". But, once those unadvertised clearance deals hit the deal and couponing blogs, they go fast.

I was able to beef up my laundry detergent stockpile in 2012 - the last year that I couponed heavily at the drug chains.

They say it's because Safeway prices are good only if you have a club card. Duh, all of their sales prices are with club card, just like all the deals at CVS, WAGs, and Rite Aid require a card. It doesn't seem right to me, but that's the way it is here.

I can't believe it's been a year since I got out of the drug chain rewards game. I look at the drug chain ads and I still don't need anything that they offer. If/when I see that I am running low on something (most likely OTC meds), it will go on a list to be purchased with UPs received when RA offers the Home Improvement gift cards (so far, Xmas and Father's Day). I did this last Christmas to replenish my stockpile of Excedrin.
My mom gets (3) sets of coupons (hers, my brothers, and one from a friend) so if I do need coupons, I can get at least (3).

For you Safeway shoppers: the produce booklet by Tony Taginilli? has a $2 off any Fresh Express salad kit. They're B1G1F thru today. Also, check the J4U price under Club Specials--think they're $2.49 there (or it may have been a personalized one for me). At any rate, I bought the Asian salad and a Caesar Lite salad, used the $2 q and paid .49 for two salad kits. There's a S/W ad q for Honey Bunches of Oats for $1.99 a box--this q also works on the Post Raisin Bran, 20 oz size. There was an insert q awhile back for $3 off coffee wyb 2 Post cereals. There's also a catalina deal thru 1/26: get $4 q for a future gallon of milk purchase. Again, check your J4U account as you may have a special price for coffee. Here's how my deal worked: 2 Post Raisin Bran: $3.98 (w/ad q) 1 Gevalia coffee $6.06 (J4U price) Minus: $3 off coffee wyb 2 Post cereals $1.50 off Gevalia coffee (from my J4U account but there are $1.50 q's out there for Gevalia as well) So, $5.54 total for the above and I received the $4 milk q. My organic milk is @ $5.59 gallon (sometimes I get a J4U price for less) so I'll use the $4 q and a .55 Calif milk q to get the milk for @ $1.04. In the end I'll have paid @ $6.58 for 1 gall. organic milk, 1 quality coffee, and 2 boxes of cereal. That's a good deal these days. I'm exhausted just typing this!

If you need deodorant, the Speedstick varieties are $1.99 at CVS. WYB $12 worth, you'll receive $6 EB. There were B1G1F q's in Sunday's SS so if you have 3 q's, you'll pay $6 + tx and get the $6 EB back. Believe it or not, we are down to our last deodorants (that's what happens when there are 5 shoppers in MurphMart ) so I think this is a deal I'll do.

Once in a while, things come together at Safeway. Have you been getting any $5/$20s in your J4U account? Both my mom and DH got one and then as soon as I used them, another one popped up in each account. I already used DH's second one, but I'm saving my mom's hoping for some good superbowl deals on soda. I'm down to my last (4) FREE 12-pks from CVS.

I went to Dollar General today and they had all their Christmas stuff for $.25 each. I got a head start on some gifts for next year and I also got 2 bags of coconut for my pantry and a can of candy for DH. I missed the candles but will be trading a couple of items with my sis.

I saw that you had received the $5/$20 in your J4U so went back to mine to see if I missed it. The closest thing I had was "spend $30 and get $.30 off per gallon of gas". My car takes @ 12 gallons so that's $3.60. Would much rather have the $5/$20. Maybe next week I'll keep my fingers crossed. As for soda, I'm still ahead by using "my coke rewards" points. I always try to have 2 of the free 12 pk q's on hand and use them when Safeway does the B2G3F promo. It's usually a mix/match event so I can get two diet coke (with lime is the best) and 3 of my fave: diet pepsi. The q doesn't cover the entire cost as their max worth is $4.99. I end up paying $3.00 + CRV + tax. We recycle so in the end it works out to @ .06 per can.

99 Cent Store Shopper Alert - CHEAP PHILLY!!
I hit the jackpot to day at my 99 Cent Store. They had Philly packaged in double packs (2 8-oz. bricks per package) for $1. The last time I got Philly cheaper was when they were introducing the Philly singles and I got them free after coupons at Safeway. Better yet, it was the 1/3 Less Fat variety, which is what I prefer!!

Dancin I use the 1/3 less fat variety most of the time too.
My fav fruit/veg market has ALL the veggies I like on sale this week: broccoli (.49), Asparagus (2.00), brussel sprouts (0.79). They also have chicken leg quarters for 0.59.
If I get out by Dd1's her fruit veg market is even better on the chicken.

I had scanner Qs for $2/2 deodorant and $1/$5 oral care and my MCs auto-deducted for 2.99 each, so it worked out nicely for me I got a pkg of nutter butter cookies on sale for 1.99 as a filler (depending on whether or not the auto-deduct worked). I realized afterward that the regular price on the cookies was 4.99, which is kind of crayzee IDK how anyone pays regular price for stuff at CVS. I also got a $3/$15 candy/gum/mints, so I may be able to work that into next week's pepsi deal.

I priced matched 2 huge pin apple's from aldi@.99 each. Must be the cheapest fruit available right now these things weigh about 4lbs each. We left them out a few days and oh boy they are good. I have so much deodorant too dancing. I stocked up on "ban" when It was cheap I don't go through them very fast so I am good for another 3 years or so . I am happy with now long things are lasting Thinking back over tthe past few years deals I have to say i'm not drowning in receipts anymore even when i put the things away i seemed to keep receipts on my desk to go back to and admire.

My store adjusted the coupons though and didn't allow the auto-deduct Oh well...

AMAZING! I already heard back from Friskies. They apologized and are sending me a coupon for a FREE bag. Since this one worked so well, I guess it is time to tackle my ISP for 7 days of NO service available.

Good to know. I did look at the cauli and broc but the girl was busy chatting up the guy at the booth and didn't seem to interesting in selling veggies so I passed them by! But next time I will try it. I don't go to that one too often but next time I'll let you know!

I went to Kroger this week. I combined their sales of buy 6 of any combination, and save 50 cents off each item with coupons. I bought fruit/produce on sale, got some meat, household items, and saved $43 off of a $128 total. Nice to only spend $85 including tax, and come home with enough to require 3 trips to bring it all inside.

I have a number of GREAT sales at my stores this week BUT it is so cold, nasty, windy and expected to be snowy I will NOT be participating. I had to run out Sat to take care of a friend's houseplants while she is away (and buy wine) and it was miserable.

If you are going to be stuck inside with your family, buy wine or sugar. It could save someone's life.

Haribo has a 30 cent off any bag of their candy 4 oz or larger. Don't everybody rush out to buy the sugar free gummy bears.

Does anyone know if there is a current coupon for Revlon lip products? I'm planning to do the deal in the Walgreens flyer that gives you $3 RR using my $6 RR. Thanks! Just found out I should have gone to the other Walgreens for the Bach Rescue Gum deal in the flyer, two flyers ago. The store that I can't get to on my way home from work had it. The other store was although I saw it was stocked today. I could have used that $6 RR on sale canned salmon.

I haven't seen these mentioned in this thread - do you all use the different couponing apps? ibotta and savingstar both act as deposits in a way. You get money back once you reach $5, ibotta requires you to scan your receipts and savingstar is linked to your store card. I made $80 from ibotta last year. Ibotta is also cool because they give you money back on purchases at Best Buy, Home Depot, several restaurants, and even movie theaters. Checkout 51 is a new one, though you need to get to $20 before cash out. They do not offer very much of a selection of coupons, so it will take me a while. Target has Cartwheel which you can load offers to your account and have your phone scanned at the register. There are lots of grocery offers, and you can use a paper target coupon, manufacturers coupon, and a cartwheel coupon on the same item. Just wanted to add those options in case some people hadn't heard of them
