I found this on a board that no longer exists several years ago.
Whadda'ya know, it works and it's nice to sip as well.
One of the quickest ways to cure a hangover is to make a banana milkshake sweetened with honey. The banana helps calm the stomach, and with the honey, builds up the depleted blood sugar levels. The milk soothes the stomach and re hydrates your system. Bananas are also rich in the important electrolytes, magnesium and potassium, which are severely depleted during heavy drinking.Banana Milkshake Hangover Cure
Ingredients
* 1 Large, ripe banana * 1 1/2 Cups milk * 2 Tbsp honey
Blend all ingredients together. Make sure you drink this slowly, so that your body is able to absorb everything. Room temperature milkshakes will probably feel better if you have an upset stomach, but you can make this a frozen milkshake by adding some ice, or storing unpeeled bananas (wrapped in plastic wrap) in your freezer.

that sounds like it should work - potassium is important for the rehydrating process. I just can't stomach either banana OR honey. for those like me, I've found the best results in taking an Advil and chasing it with Gatorade. rinse and repeat as needed for the severity of your hangover. a college bud used to sub in Pedialyte for my Gatorade. whatever gets the electrolytes back to work. best wishes for a happy and healthy 2014 to all.
