Congrats Sarcastic! Hormones are the worst, glad your meds are working!
missk82 - do the core challenge with us - it takes literally 5 min max and you can do it indoors! It's just a little bit, but every little bit helps! Also, good for post-baby!
I am bummed about the weight, but the size thing is good. I am wearing pants that 2 weeks ago were comfortable around the waist, now I have at least 2 inches of slack at the waistband. I'm wearing fleece leggings underneath them and they are still baggy. Unfortunately I'm going to have to put that on the back-burner for a bit as I focus on winning my trip!

BSB- I am seriously so jealous of your Caribbean trip... I just turned around and looked out the window and saw it is snowing. AGAIN! I kind of what to hit you When will the trip be? missk82- Unfortunately I don't have any pedometer recommendations other than Fitbit. I've had others (actually my employer gives out regular pedometers for free) but have never used them consistently until Fitbit. Happy prose is right- If I did nothing extra in a regular work day, I would have about 4k steps a day... that includes walking to the train from home and from the train to work (and vice versa) 10K takes effort- but is totally worth it!

Ahhh okay I'll do the core challenge! What is today's? My stomach is still so....flabby is an understatement! I just want to ignore it! Thanks Happy, I did see that on Amazon and I'm glad you said you liked it! I'm going to order it! My unofficial weigh in has me down 1.4 pounds...hope I can increase that by Friday!

And I'm right there with you on the post-baby tummy. And I had my baby almost two years ago, so you're way ahead of me! I have to go back to previous page to look at today's core challenge, and my proboards is being really weird. Will post in a bit.

lord have mercy- I am starvation central today!
Looks like it will be one of those days where I will work hard to just have a 500 calorie deficit. Goal for tonight will be 15,000 steps. plus the core challenge!

Not a great day today; freezing cold & crappy sidewalk conditions = no gym this morning, plus there was champagne & cookies in the newsroom today to celebrate an award for our coverage of the Newtown shooting (somehow winning an award for that feels icky). I did a ton of work on that heartbreaking story so ended up clinking glasses with colleagues and having 2 smallish glasses of bubbly and a couple of cookies On a brighter note, I did go to spinning class yesterday! And I "skied" (slid) down 2 snow-packed subway steps this morning (OK, that last one doesn't count).

Holy cow that killed me! I did the challenge, but both types of crunches i did only 10 each. 27 for the others. Am I kicked out? Lol. That was fun though. For me I think the planking (on toes) was the easiest of the bunch. Go figure.

Done for tonight. 100 squats 75 regular crunches 25 leg lifts 35 seconds plank 27 bridges 27 prone cobra 54 superman (27 per side) Question... during the last part of my workout I got a tremendous headache - almost to the point of feeling dizzy. I stopped and took a few deep breaths and finished. I'm thinking I'm not breathing deeply enough during my workouts and almost hold my breath sometimes. Does that sounds right? Anything else I should try-other than breathing?

Goal for tonight will be 15,000 steps. plus the core challenge! I am feeling a bit lazy and a little generous. If you get those 15000 steps you will be gaining on my total. I am about done for the day and I only have 11000. Must get a inspirational speech written, oh thought it should be 6 -8 minutes discovered today it should be 10-12. A lot of work to do.

Core challenge complete! I will say, it feels a little weird to be just sitting around without a massive workout to do...

Ace- I kinda get a headache when I am doing core work on the floor. I don't know why but I always have.
Ugh- my splurge at lunch has left me with a bellyache! I will probably skip dinner... Maybe a slice of toast if I feel up to it. I am over 10000 steps and will go for 15000. Hopefully by achy belly goes away soon so I can do the core challenge.

missk82 - jump in with us!
Also, for cardio core challenge I am thinking of making the weekends "repeat days" - you do the same workout on Friday, Sat, and Sun. Might help us get over the hump - adding one rep every day is going to add up quick! Thoughts?

bsb, how often are you weighing yourself?
I did 45 minutes on the ellliptical this a.m., pleasantly distracted by the hot guy on the treadmill opposite where I was :-) He looks like my DH when he was 19.

But I've been the same weight - with ZERO deviation for the last 10+ days. I know the scale's not broken because DH's weight is going down. I am confuzzled!

I know you're exercising a lot, maybe you're actually not eating enough to compensate and your body thinks it needs to hold on to the energy (food) you're giving it? Oh, and Chiver? I'm really glad you're OK. BP issues are really scary.
