There have been a couple of "leaked" articles from someone working in the investigation saying that the encrypted codes for PINS "may" have been hacked....they aren't sure yet. But as I have said and as Blonde Granny has said...if you don't cancel your debit card & get a new one, at LEAST change your PIN!
BUT ONE OTHER THING TO KEEP IN MIND....THIS INFORMATION DOESN'T HAVE TO BE USED RIGHT AWAY. IT COULD BE USED 1 OR 2 YRS. FROM NOW AND YOU WOULD HAVE A VERY HARD TIME CONNECTING A BREACH THEN TO WHAT HAPPENED AT TARGET NOW!

My bank has posted on their website that all debit and credit cards used at Target during the affected period are being reissued.

grr....so much for not using that amex. I'm skiing today, and my discover card (new primary while the dust settles...) fell out of my inside coat pocket somewhere on the mountain. I've already called discover to cancel/reissue but the only other card I had with me was that amex. oh well.....I need lunch.... sent from my electronic distraction
