What about Kahlua Cream Cheese pie? It's not quite cheesecake (unless you over bake it), but it's super good. it originates from marie callender's restaurants, but i found a decent knockoff recipe online if you want it.

Ok, I think this looks yummy. I don't do cashews but I bet I can make this with almonds (or better yet, almond butter). I just have to figure out how to lose the maple syrup since I am low carbing. Some kind if fake sugar out to do it. Maybe I will try half cream cheese and have almond butter?

That is freak in delicious Raw Cashews when soaked and blended have a creamy cheese like quality. I also use creamed cashews instead of sour cream, etc. Unfortunstely, I don't think almonds would give the same texture? And please don't use fake sugar there really isn't much in the recipe.. Oh, I also use Justin's choc hazelnut spread in the recipe and cut down the amount of cocao powder.

Every Christmas, DH gets a cheesecake delivered to our house from a vendor -- a REAL Carnegie Deli cheesecake from NYC. No one else here eats it. And it is made with eggs to which YDS is desperately allergic. I keep it outside and eat it with plastic disposable forks. Usually takes me no more than 3 days. I LOVE CHEESECAKE!!! Order one from the Carnegie Deli -- it is the real thing.

My dad is making a key lime pie, but otherwise, it sounds great. Maybe for Christmas? Try a Key lime bundt cake for Christmas. Real good. (Can you tell I like anything with Key lime?) Key Lime Bundt CakeOh my....this sounds delish!! I love cheesecake and key lime pie. I must attempt this

I have never made it in the cheesecake pan before. I have always just used a pre-made chocolate crust. If you do it that way, you won't be able to use all the "cake" batter. so that means you have to leave about 1/2 inch or so (maybe a bit less) at the top to allow room for the sour cream topping. and it also means you have to shorten the bake time because the cake isn't supposed to be super firm. it's a bit of a guessing game doing it that way, in other words, lol. I might try it in the cheesecake pan next time because it would sure be simpler!

I don't remember seeing that recipe chiver. Maybe I need to look at my magazine again.
I highly recommend the red velvet one CL talked about.
My new Southern Living had a layered red velvet and regular cheesecake on the cover. It looked amazing but I bet its a total PIA.
I think you could make cheesecake a couple days ahead. They need time to set up anyway.

I want cheesecake to be on the menu at Thanksgiving, but looking at all the recipes on line is overwhelming.
Give me your best recipe, or flavor and I'll look up the recipe. But please not pumpkin since we have pumpkin pie, pumpkin roll, and pumpkin casserole. Oh for poops sake Swamp.....you can pass the New York State bar but you can't Google the recipe for cheesecake? Philadelphia Classic cheesecake recipe 1-1/2 cups HONEY MAID Graham Cracker Crumbs 3 Tbsp. sugar 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted 4 pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened 1cup sugar 1tsp. vanilla 4eggs HEAT oven to 325°F. MIX graham crumbs, 3 Tbsp. sugar and butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan. BEAT cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla with mixer until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each just until blended. Pour over crust. BAKE 55 min. or until center is almost set. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim. Refrigerate 4 hours. Note Reduce oven temperature to 300°F if using a dark nonstick springform pan. Top with fresh fruit just before serving.
