southernsusana, I love that dish pattern. and I love using my Christmas dishes during the holidays.
crone, I have been a stay at home g-ma for a few years. since I no longer attend church, my nice outfits are just hanging in the closet.
cktc, we used to camp once a year at a popular spot. hotels would have been over $50 per night when we were paying $25 for a camping spot. but since we didn't spend a lot of money on that long weekend, we could go to other nicer places for a week. New Orleans, Vegas, New York, dc, lots of places.

I save money monthly for Christmas and my time share payment. They both come at the same time and I like charging and then getting the cash back from doing it but then having the money to pay it off immediately and not have huge charges looming come January. I'm doing St. Marten at thanksgiving and caymans the week between Christmas and New Years and still have time available! Yea!!

It depends on what it is. I do have a hard time spending money on what I deem frivilous, even if it's really not. I hate spending money on clothes for example. I do it if I have to, but I always leave the store with a bad taste in my mouth. Same way with just about any household item, like furniture. I usually end up asking for things like towels and dishes for Christmas or my birthday for that reason.
I also sometimes look at my bills and wonder if I'm paying too much.
But as for living expenses, like rent, gas, food ect, I'm usually fine with spending money. I also don't mind spending money on entertainment, or travel.
