OK the wife & I figured that we would have a movie night. The movie that I "kind of wanted to see" isn't out yet so we just kind of picked a couple. One was some movie with Tom Hanks (on the theory that he's a big star & can pick what he wants so it should be good). The other was "Identity Thief", which we watched first. Now let me first say that I generally walk away from a movie about a fourth to half way into the movie. In other words generally I think they suck (the last good movie that I saw was "The Blind Side" if that give you a hint). To be honest I wasn't expecting much from Identity Thief (I figured that it was going to be a fourth movie). So.... I have to say that it started exactly the way I would have figured & then a twist, then another plot, then a twist, & so on. I have to say that it was worth the money & well worth watching. So...
Have you seen it & did you like it?
Any other current movies that you saw & liked?
Let's hear it.

Is it out on HBO, Netflix...? The last movie I saw and liked (and didn't fall asleep) was Silver Linings Playbook.

Oldtex, I'm going to move this into our Movies forum. That's where folks who like (and some who don't) go to discuss movies they've seen, or would like to see.

Yep! It's a pretty active forum, for one devoted to a specific thing - like movies. Enjoy!

I liked identity Thief, but didn't think it was terribly special. We saw Pacific Rim in the Theater, twice So I guess that is the latest movie we all really liked here.

I like any movie Jason Bateman does, but I did think it could have been better.

Do documentaries count? I just saw History of the Eagles. It was very in-depth .. better than most musicians docs.
Recommended.
