Someone else said it earlier, having a health scare is a terrible, but best motivator to keep it going. I always struggled to lose those 25 lbs, worked out 2-3 days a week, and ate the typical American diet. After my health scare (dealing with high bp and the heart) I now work out 6 days a week, eat a mostly plant based diet, and watched the 25 lbs drip away! While fear was the original motivator, I now feel awesome and can't imagine going back, it's self reinforcing.
Downside was I had to drop a good amount of change to replace my suits for work. Lost too much weight to take them in. Oh well, a good problem to have.

I did have a diet soda today but only drank about half of it. I had my MRI on my hand so hopefully in a few days I will have results.
There are so many people lately that I know in their 50's that are being diagnosed with cancer and had/have only a few months to live. That is extremely scary.
