I think we're less diverse than the actual population. Every time I think someone is african american, it turns out they are actually white.  I'm 1/2 black I think that we are all mixed to some extent. The whitest white person that I know is my wife & that's because she is only 2nd generation in this country & even she has some Indian in her (on her mothers side). The faster that we understand that we are all a "mixture" the easier it will be to let go with the lines that divide us. |

Race is a hard thing to know about someone from a message board. Unless someone specifically mentions their race, you really can't be sure. Occupations seems to come up much more frequently. Or they post a picture of their (previously discussed biological) kid. Or they utilize the handy dandy cartoon avatar feature (yes, not a guarantee, but most likely they have an avatar that represents them.) Does that mean you have a forked tounge? |
