"Although I can't boast so anymore, when I was at my athletic peak my body was so dense that I'd sink to the bottom of a swimming pool even with my lungs full of air. I know of nobody else on Earth who can claim that."
Sorry Virgil, I could do the same thing. It made things like treading water really hard. When taking a swimming test once, I thought I would drown, if I would have had to do it much longer. Floating on your back wasn't real easy either. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/tongue.png) -I can do the tongue thing in both directions too. (I thought everybody could.) AND I can touch the end of my nose with my tongue. I used to be able to touch my head to my bum, and to put my legs around my neck. -Then I could move them to over my shoulders and 'walk' (more like a hobble probably) I'm fabulous with ferrets, and... I'm the best at being me, I know! ![](http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e367/gatsby6306/bth_1111th_smiley_superherolanding.gif) ![](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQaelYgl01bFntTghGSHdiyYxajN66EYfKFJmDRv7xWpoIPDp5c)

Meh, my husband has such low body fat percentage that he sinks, too. I figure, if we are boating and we capsize, he is screwed! Flip side, I used to work with a huge girl (300 lbs plus) and she was telling me one day that no matter how hard she tried, she could go far under water as she would always float back up...she never made the connection!lol My ex-husband would also sink to the bottom - as will our son now. Both are skinny, but pretty dense (son with muscles, ex-husband dense in the head). My husband is all muscle AND dense in the head :-p

I'm close, Miss Rigby. I made 99th percentile twice on the verbal portion of the GRE . . . twenty years apart! As a friend once told me, it makes you wonder what you missed. However, my math skills deteriorated quickly.
The ironic part was that my math score was the highest part of my ACT score.
Use it or lose it. I teach English. You would think I can read critically, etc.

My superior skill is communicating with men. I was the only daughter born to a family with three sons. I know how men think, I know what guys want.
I have a hard time working or socializing with large groups of women. Makes me too nervous and it's hard to get a cocktail at a quilt show.

Make that three, I can do it too. I had an ex-bf who could make his tongue do three "dips/rolls", I can only do a single roll. This would be me as well... Someone was joking with me today that he was going to lock me and drunk coworker up in a cabinet together. I told him I bet I could make coworker cry before he could make me. He agreed ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/tongue.png) But mostly, I'm just one of the guys. My dog thinks I'm super awesome. As long as I have food. If I don't have food, the kitchen floor is more super awesome than I am ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/melancholy.png)

I'm a chick and can drive a golf ball 250 yards. But I can't guarantee it will land on the right fairway.

Have a great weekend! Everyone. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png) Ahhh, the Great Fanfar for the Common Man, played at every Olympics. It was written to celebrate the common, regular man, instead of glorifying royals and lords. I love it, both for its beautiful composition, as well as its significance.

Many, many years ago, I took IQ tests for Mensa, and comped out at 145 pt I.Q. Years later, I had a head injury, (garage door fell on my head and fucking knocked me out ), and my I.Q. fell to around 120 pts. So, now I'm still pretty smart. It makes me sad that I miss a few things in conversatons now and then, and my spelling is a little erratic, but I'm glad that I'm still around and can remember things. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png) I can accurately read a thousand words a minute. Not lying about this. I just can. I'm also unique in that I'm obessive enough to have 3693 pogo badges, which makes me a part of a small group of obsessively gaming humans. I also live in other worlds of my own devising sometimes, and have over 1000 characters. I remember most of them pretty well. Sometimes I forget their names, but remember how they "feel". I am also quite independent if I want to do something. It's weird. I just don't care. That's combined with some strong social more's, so I don't commit any real crimes. But, I do pretty much what I want. I just don't see the utility of following what everybody else thinks, because most of the time, I think they're wrong, or somewhat limited in their thinking. That being said, I do exactly what my boss tells me to do at work, plus look for more work if mine is done, because they are paying me for my hourly time, and a bargain's a bargain. I don't do antisocial things at work and then happily collect a paycheck. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png)

Back in 1987 I done IQ testing and mental endurance testing to see about getting into College. I done the IQ puzzle in 13 seconds.

I do that too, but the number of unique characters would be nowhere near 1000. Probably closer to 150-200, and 30% of those would barely be above stock. That's weird? ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/sarcasm.png) That attitude pretty much defines our whole society. Give us some examples of "Nasgirl the Independent".

Sure, but 1987 was the year the copy machines cut off pages 2 thru 20. The only thing left was a title page with a place to fill out your name. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/yeahright.png)

BTW that mental endurance & IQ testing was over 7 hours long. Most of that time was the mental endurance testing and it was all math problems. I still remember how exhausted I was. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/faint.gif)

Nasgul the Independent. Hmmm. Well, ones that I care to relate ( none are unlawful ) are that I don't particularly care about anyone's religion, race, creed, or background. I know that this is not really considered unusual by most people, but I've found that those who proclaim that they're oh so attached to that idea really aren't. I like atheists as much as I like the religous. I think everyone is interesting in their own way, but if they're rude or creepy, then I don't stick around. Interesting doesn't = likeable. I also have more fight in me than most people about something, but I don't hesitate to walk away if there is no gain in a situation for me. I've seen people lose jobs, professional licenses, and marriages over some stupid point or other. I wonder why it's so important to them when it seems they're sacrificing a career or a life's work. I don't get it. I practice what I call rational selfishness, or self-ionterest. I don't believe in being unjust or cruel or uncaring, but I don't get involved in many peoples' self-made situations. I don't think its my business. I don't know if that's what you'd consider " independent" Virgil, but since I always seem to get the "should do it' talk from politcos, salespeople, coworkers, or whomever, and refuse to go along, I think I'm my own person. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/wink.png) I'm rather a " Kim " esque personality. Not many people seem to get me.

So to summarize: you're equanimous at best, apathetic at worst. How do you score on the MACH-IV test?

Hell, I haven't even been wheeled out of the hanger yet. No actually, I scored a 76 out of a 100. I guess that makes me a Bad Hat, but actually, I'm a good person who helps others. I don't get it.

The mean is 75, which makes you "perfectly average". ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/wink.png) I scored 50. All of the scores listed thus far are well within +/- 2 sigma. I don't know of any formal apathy tests, but (for obvious reasons) it would be darn near impossible to obtain a representative sample group. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/tongue2.png)

The test said that by scoring 76, I had tendencies which Machiavelli would approve of, or something to that effect. While I am capable of self-interest, concealment, and occasional ruthlessness, I don't embrace those qualities as a lifestyle guide.
