Congrats Lena! As to being on the "vomit comet"--been there, done that! DH was even cooking dinner for me when I was too green to deal with the food smells. Just give DH your best smile, and a pair of rubber gloves. I'm sure he's "man enough" to handle a little dumpster diving! And, oh yeah, I've dug thru the garbage for missing items too. When the kids were little, my youngest used to throw away the silverware. I rescued most pieces, but was missing enough forks and spoons that I had to buy another silverware set when the kids were older.

Thank you!! My DH is awesome and will do it no questions asked, I just feel bad bc like I said, it hasn't even been a week since I gave him all kinds of crap for always loosing stuff. But for the last 4 yrs I had a build-in excuse of either being pregnant or sleep deprived, so I am playing that card Lena

Well, gift cards were in the trash - my DH went through it tonight and found it. It was $125 worth of cards. He is my hero. I told him he can name his price, he is still thinking about it.

Heck, no, not for $125. But I am glad you found them.

No, we don't walk away. But when we're holding on to something precious, we run.

yay.
And congratulations Lena. I'd missed that you're pregnant again too. My 2 are not quite 18 months apart and I'm finally starting to catch up on sleep...

Thought about this thread last night as we were searching through the outside garbage can looking for my daughters 2 boxes of contact lens. Cost about $60. We were pretty sure they went in the trash over the weekend (Mon AM pickup). Took about an hour, and was mostly household waste, but we found them!
