Market Basket still doubles, and triples coupons. That's awesome!! It's great to hear that some grocery retailers are still doubling; tripling is almost unheard of. Unfortunately a lot of the big grocery retailers that used to double have slowly discontinued their programs. I think it must be based on demographics because for years Vons doubled in Southern and Central CA, but not in Northern CA. In the early 2000s they stopped doubling in Central CA, but continued doubling in Southern CA. Two or three years ago, they stopped doubling in CA altogether. I have read of similar cutbacks from various chains, in various areas across the country. It probably won't be long before the doubled coupon is a thing of the past.  |

I don't because often times you are expected to buy 3 items to get $1.00 off.
