What is he hidding?Does he support the Brotherhood?--------"Palin blasts administration's handling of Egypt .. AP – – Sun Feb 6, 2:50 am ET WASHINGTON – Sarah Palin says the Obama administration must tell Americans what it knows about who will be Egypt's next leader.
In a Christian Broadcasting Network interview released Saturday, the 2008 vice presidential candidate says the administration should level with the American people on what it knows about the Egyptian crisis.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak wants to rule until September elections.
Palin said the U.S. must find out who is "behind all the turmoil" and that "we should not stand" for a government led by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Referencing a 2008 campaign ad, Palin said Egypt was the White House's "3 a.m. phone call" but it "went right to the answering machine."
She says the U.S. must say whom it stands with, "and we do not have all that information yet.""

Perhaps because Miss-I-Can-See-Russia-From-My-House is so uniquely qualified to lecture Obama on foreign policy?

Obama has been sending mixed signals to the American People but that may be because he is ill equiped to state clearly and precisely what is going on in Egypt.....his envoy to Murbarak said yesterday that Mubarak should stay until the goverment transition is completed but Obama has said Murbarak needs to do what he thinks is right for the Egyptian protestors...whatever that means??
So maybe Palin and others have a point when the world is looking for the USA to provide leadership by our president all we get is mixed signals

It's a very complicated situation. I think Obama is handling it very well. She is a loose (and severely uninformed) cannon. But she IS entertaining.

I think Obama could have explained the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in this crisis....since we have so many conflicting stories about their role in the protests. Mubarak blames them for starting the protests and it appears they may become a strong member of the government if Mubarak leaves but who knows???
Btw some very knowledgeable journalists, anchors, and goverment officials are looking to the White House for some answers and it is not available yet which is a legitimate concern...

As you pointed out in post #3, Boehner and McConnell both think Obama is handling it pretty well - which leaves me thinking that they all know more than the rest of us. And our own national interests are involved.

Seems like those who are either lining up wishing to take his job or working to increase their reader/viewership are critical and those whose primary job is to govern are not. I think that is significant.

I believe both should keep their mouths shut at this point and time. I know there are major consiquences for the US and other nations on how this turns out but by talking to much the US could be the loser all around. Maybe the Muslim brotherhood wins then some comments can come back to bite us. This is an internal problem that only Egypt can work through. The best thing to say is that we will make an effort to work with whomever gains power. Politicians love to blather and it does not always come out well.

Maybe if she actually held some political office she might be worth listening to on this topic....but she's just another TV personality/entertainer and book writer. So I don't really see why anyone would look to her for their opinion on the current situation in Egypt.

He has spoken out, but the most important thing he can do , which he has done is keep his direct talks private..respect the politics and the peoples desires but understanding it isn't finished yet the pricess ..in other words be presedential in his remarks , which he has, As far as not tolerating the Brother hood taking over if in the futuure it does..the people agree ..what are we to do? Invade... This person was to be a heart beat, stopping of, from the Presidency..unbelievable , only in America.

Sarah said it (again) on her show where she had the Gosselin children on. They made a map of Alaska out of rocks and she stood on a spot and told them that if they were there "they could see Russia".

Palin Blasts Obama On Egypt
So what?? The senate passed a joint resolution by John Kerry and John McCain urging Mubarak to step down and hand over power to a caretaker government in Egypt. So here we see another example of the senate executing foreign policy instead of the president.
According to the Constitution the President of the USA executes foreign policy....but in the case of Obama that will not happen because he is still trying to determine what to say or do in the matter of Egypt...

"This is an internal problem that only Egypt can work through. The best thing to say is that we will make an effort to work with whomever gains power."
I actually disagree. The US has to publicly help the transition. We have been supporting Mubarak for his nearly 30 years via annual aid in the amount of $1.6 Billion per year. And while I believe he did do some good work the charade of "democracy" in Egypt makes the US look bad. I'm sure the State Dept had been warning each US President there was a problem but political expediency being what it is, it was easier to for each president to claim that Egypt was "stable" and hoped the melt down would happen on someone else's watch.
I remain hopeful that the US can help support a transition to a coalition type government and that Egypt will remain a good US friend. I believe it is in everyone's interest to help this process along. And Egypt needs to make rapid progress towards stability. Too much of its economy is dependent on Tourism and tourists have an aversion to site seeing in active war zones!

I think you're confused (or duped by the lib media). Palin never said that and this thread has nothing to do with Tina Fey.

Yes but some of us think Tina Fey is a lot smarter than Sarah Palin and more poitically astute......I just don't see what the attraction is with Sarah Palin....she should have stayed in Alaska as Barbara Bush suggested
