I will not name names, but I can tell by their actions who they are.
If the person who you disliked the most had died, you wouldn't be happy?
No, actually, I live in a small town. When you go to the boards or watch the news, you see more violence. If it isn't violence, it is a mob of people against another person because they don't follow the same thing you do. So instead of being tolerant, the mob just comes in and attacks. It's not me, I could care less about me. I see it with others as well. It's people in general, they are more apt to show dislike than to tolerate. Look at all the shootings, and the anger out there. I just feel it is winning, and good is losing.
There was a time in my life when it was completely driven by that. But that is getting better. It's still not great . . but my down period is not due to finances . . it's due to the hatred I am seeing in our world.
I can't answer that question . . talk to my haters.
neither, it is just how I am seeing the world. People have no empathy anymore.
I see less hatred in real life, that is in the area in which I live. But it is still there. People have become less tolerant of others. Of course the news never reports anything good. So I have stopped watching it. But the message boards . . that's a different thing.
I'm not really sure why I allow that to get me down.
I have decided not to. I mean if people want to be that way, fine. If they want to be miserable I guess I'll let them. For they don't care what their actions do. Why should I let that bother me? Perhaps because of what I have gone through and I can't stand to see it happen to others. (yes, I was guilty of the same thing . . and looking into that mirror has not been pretty either.) But that was a while back. I am over that now. The haters aren't.

Are you confusing disagreement in a discussion with hate beags?
The whole purpose of a discussion is to lay out your argument then qualify it against other peoples arguments. Its the only way we interact really...Not everyone is going to be of the same opinion...just like real life. Its interesting to get different viewpoints.....and see how your own opinion bears up to scrutiny. Some you win, some you lose.
I don't think you can hate someone on a message board....Its just a series of words from people with different opinions.
As for hatred in the World.....The news tends to focus on the negative stories but that doesn't mean it isn't balanced by the good things that people do....All day every day.

I do agree with beags that world seems to be growing colder. People really don't seem to care. We don't seem to have the same sense of community or helping one's neighbor. It can be very depressing in some ways.

shooby, For me, love has to come from inside of you. No matter how worlds seems so cold and uncaring. You will find a peace and love inside of you. That I believe. Don't let all the noise affect you to become someone who is not real you..... Eventually, people sense that.Even if no one notice, when you have fate in yourself and the belief of higher power will see it.It doesn't really bother me. People will see what they want to see, most likely hood reflating them selves.

One thing that Marx did get right was the phenomenon of alienation resulting from human life being reduced to a mere instrument of production. Further aggravating the matter, local community relations of old have withered in the darkness of paranoid isolation which government and associated institutions have worked so hard to nurture within individuals en masse. Further, attention has been redirected, through developments in communications technology, away from local matters to those national & international. Perhaps, too, the apparent vacuum of positive ideals fostered by secularism has had some effect. That's just my evaluation anyway. There is warmth to be had still; one just has to show greater tenacity in breaking through the barriers that have been constructed around her, that she might delve into others and connect with the last vestiges of soulful humanity not yet extinguished by economic brutalisation.

I hold my personal relationships close to my heart, loving my friends (many here) and family. However, when it comes to humanity, as a whole, I am very cynical. Maybe the world got too big, too nasty, too selfish, too ill-mannered and too scary. I don't know, but I am choosing to shut it out. To try and embrace it makes my soul sick. lone, I choose rather not to do that. I believe there is beauty in everyone soul. Degree of how much their life's experience affect them or not. That is the only difference in people. When I was struggling in my earlier years. I always had a someone show up, unexpectedly. Even the stranger, it show me the way.... If I may say, I am truly blessed.

Well, there are winds of change and "other" winds. ;D LOL! You keep your wind to yourself, woman. I believe the world is about to have some kind of awakening, where the wind will become sweet smelling again. Not sure I'll still be here when it happens, but until then I'm keeping a close pin on my nose. ;D

Well here's something I realized years ago. It is not up to me how I am placed in the casket. It will be up to my family. So I better treat them nice. I use to say I wouldn't be caught dead in a dress. Then I realized, I'll be dead, they can dress me in whatever they want. So my new saying is If I'm caught dead in a dress, I will haunt you for life.

Giant holes in my esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Holy cow!!! I hope it wasn't something you ate. How does something like this happen? I think it's caused by acid reflux going untreated. At least that is what I heard. I could be wrong, I'm not a medical professional. Ok, I googled and found this. www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/understanding-ulcers-basic-informationWhile excessive stomach acid secretion certainly plays a role in the development of ulcers, a relatively recent theory holds that bacterial infection is the primary cause of peptic ulcers. Indeed, research conducted since the mid-1980s has persuasively demonstrated that the bacterium Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is present in more than 90% of duodenal ulcers and about 80% of stomach ulcers. Other factors also seem to contribute to ulcer formation. Overuse of over-the-counter painkillers (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen), heavy alcohol use, and smoking exacerbate and may promote the development of ulcers. Research indicates that heavy smokers are more prone to developing duodenal ulcers than are nonsmokers, that people who drink alcohol are more susceptible to esophageal ulcers, and that those who take aspirin frequently for a long period of time are more likely to develop stomach ulcers than those who don't

I'm 44 and started P90X a year ago. Trying to keep those wrinkles away. I'm sure it's not going to work, but I was looking middle age in the eye and said I will not go down peacefully.

My grandfather, and several of his brothers lost large portions of their stomachs to ulcers. Theirs was caused by over production of stomach acid. I inherited the problem, and take medicine for it every night. Also, I avoid super spicy foods, greasy food, alcohol, smoking, anything at all the could irritate it.

Yes, you read that right...three, and not all at once. Damn near killed me. I needed transfusion after transfusion. (I never take aspirin and I don't have acid reflux))

OMG! I've never heard of anything like this. So the ibuprofen eat into you or what. ---------------- NSAIDS ( Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammary Drugs) can be very dangerous. There is no question that the risks of NSAIDs can be serious, even life-threatening. According to the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), each year the side effects of NSAIDs hospitalize over 100,000 people and kill 16,500 in the U.S., mostly due to bleeding stomach ulcers. But it's important to put those numbers in context. The AGA also says that every day, more than 30 million Americans use NSAIDs for pain from headaches, arthritis, and other conditions. And while some experts emphasize the dangers, others stress that living with chronic pain is terrible in itself. www.webmd.com/osteoarthritis/features/are-nsaids-safe-for-you

Yes, I'm fully recovered, but I'm never to go near an NSAID again. Not even in cream or suppository form.

The pain was unimaginable! When I started puking up copious amounts of blood, it was time to call an ambulance. I was in Intensive Care for quite some time. They just couldn't stop the bleeding.
As a caveat, this isn't to say that all people should avoid NSAIDS. They don't hurt most people, taken in moderation. I'm speshul.
