von Mises. It's consistent with what I know about him, but I wouldn't have guessed. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) i think it is very interesting that he didn't bother to couch the term LIBERAL. he didn't say "classical liberal", he didn't say "historical liberal", he said LIBERAL. and this is from one of the giants of 20th century economics. a man of equal stature to anyone i can think of in that field in the last 100 years. I figured you liked the quote for that reason. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Most progressives would take exception to Mr. von Mises' characterization of capitalism as well. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

But he didn't say Progressive liberals, neither do i.who have nothing in common with the term liberal except when it comes to their own ideological beliefs. If there's something they're for or against, they have no qualms with suppressing others' freedoms. such as?
