So you think ed, that because Sanger believed in eugenics way back in the early 1900's, that it is proof that PP maintains that belief today?

OMG, Margaret Sanger was born in 1879 and died in 1966 at the age of 86. If alive today, I suspect her views may have evolved along with the rest of society (except for righties who wish to plunge us back into the Dark Ages).
How many other movements were started by those who may have held radical views in the past (but not necessarily radical for their time) and evolved into major institutions today?

I just provided you an example of a PP employee discussing racist eugenic abortions from last year. Why are you being intentionally obtuse?

Are you serious??? That's just one that got caught on tape! Do you really think, given the origins of the foundation, that one individual was the ONLY one espousing the views of the founder? Do you really believe that?

Do you really believe that? There may be a few more deranged people working at PP. On the other hand, do you really believe that one employee represents the entire organization's beliefs? Are you serious??!! Times and people have changed ed. Not all people are as prejudice and quick to stereotype as you are.

Women who have unprotected sex-bad. Men who don't wear condoms-good.
Now if there was only a way to redefine the word "rape" to exclude anything that doesn't include the use of force.....oh wait. I guess that was part of the pub mandate in November also.

Let's compare Margaret Sanger to the founding fathers. Would the founding fathers support slavery today? Things change. People evolve. The sorry legacy of the foundersIn 1784, five years before he became president of the United States, George Washington, 52, was nearly toothless. So he hired a dentist to transplant nine teeth into his jaw--having extracted them from the mouths of his slaves. That's a far different image from the cherry-tree-chopping George most people remember from their history books. But recently, many historians have begun to focus on the role slavery played in the lives of the founding generation. They have been spurred in part by DNA evidence made available in 1998, which almost certainly proved Thomas Jefferson had fathered at least one child with his slave Sally Hemings. And only over the past 30 years have scholars examined history from the bottom up. Works by Gore Vidal, Henry Wiencek, and Garry Wills reveal the moral compromises made by the nation's early leaders and the fragile nature of the country's infancy. More significant, they argue that many of the Founding Fathers knew slavery was wrong--and yet most did little to fight it. More than anything, the historians say, the founders were hampered by the culture of their time. While Washington and Jefferson privately expressed distaste for slavery (Jefferson once called it an "execrable commerce"), they also understood that it was part of the political and economic bedrock of the country they helped to create. Adults who have sex with minors should be shot on sight. This is inciting violence and is against COC. You need to be banned.

It would make more sense to google Ayn Rand. Did I correctly read Ayn Rand supported abortion rights and believed European settlers had the right to take the land away from American Indians? It's not "American Indians". It's Native Americans.

So, if ole George were alive today, would he steal teeth from his slaves for his own mouth? I bet Margaret Sanger wouldn't.

Well, you know they're so horrible, what with the affordable and accessible gynecologic care. Damn those women looking after their sexual health and well-being! Yes, all of those women looking after their sexual health and well-being by having unprotected sex... Oh please! I have never had unprotected sex but I used a PP gynecologist for five years because they were the most affordable, especially when I was uninsured. Plenty of women aren't ahving uprotected sex and are visiting Planned Parenthood clinics. Do you think the women who go there for rape counseling are doing it all wrong?

Yes, all of those women looking after their sexual health and well-being by having unprotected sex... Umm, they provide birth control, so not all these women are having unprotected sex. And in case you haven't heard, routine gynecologic care should be given to every woman, not just the ones having sex........

The Hershey Institute and Hershey foundation. Google some of Mr. Hershey's beliefs. He was a racist SOB.

A lot of poor examples, people. None of them receives federal funding like PP...but by all means keep embarrassing yourselves, I'm enjoying it...

I've actually been in a Planned Parenthood and used their services, and aware of what they do. I also am able to distinguish between the beliefs of a founder over 100 years ago and the corporate mission of today. I also recognize that one wingnut in an organization does not represent the views of the entire organization.

Check your math. Sanger died in 1966 and advocated eugenics right up until her death. But 40 years, 100 years, pretty close, right?
