Italian Good luck sign? Hahaha... It is funny how offended men are by this little gesture! I like to do the closed hand jab motion under my chin too. It is their version of WTF! You can say a lot with your hands!

Rock and roll horn? Is that the peace sign? And do you hold it at the back of your head or front? Not joking, I'm really curious!

Rock and roll horns here....held behind your head like horns...means your wife is cheating on you. They usually mutter "non ha le palle" as well because obviously you have no balls if your wife is cheating on you! Now..rock and roll horns held up anywhere can be taken as the same insult. I actually just had that little mistake tonight. An Italian friend is a singer and had a paying gig tonight. I held up the rock and roll horns and was all like "ROCK ON!!!" and then realized what I just did...and we all laughed. I explained that in America it means "Rock on!"

Rock and roll horns are NOT the peace sign. Rock and roll horns are just your index finger and your pinky finger held up. Peace sign is your index finger and your middle finger held up.

I am so going to get arrested for my driving when I move back to the states. Here you HAVE to be aggressive or they will run you over. I have already driven up over curbs and sidewalks....just like they do. I give all the nasty hand gestures just like the Italians do! Goose hates driving with me because he says I am "so Italian" when I drive. He says I am lucky Italians do not carry guns! He has also gotten after me for speeding on the Tangeziale. Seriously though...if I follow the speed limit...they will run me off the roads! In the states I will be arrested for wreckless driving.

7. I like Futurama, which has religions such as Oprahism, the Robot Church ( and the Robot Devil ), and the Space Pope, all of which are hilarious. ---------------- Did you see Godfellas, where Bender is floating through space and becomes God? That was hysterical!

Quince, unfortunately due to her mama's habits, my dd told grandma " tough shit " when she was slightly less than a year old and grandma wouldn't refill her little bottle with apple juice before dinner. She told her " hut up, gamma, tough hit. " ( Shut up, grandma, tough shit. ). My mother fixed me with a laser-like glare and said, " She never heard that from her father. " It was true. She had never heard those words from her father. Oh boy oh boy. However, she did hear " fuck you" from her father ( not in relation to her ) when he had just finished shoveling our our driveway in MA and then the county plow ran by and piled 2 feet of snow, ice and gravel right at the end of the drive. The poor guy shouted " Fuck You " at it's vanishing yellow back end, and the next thing we knew, the baby was kneeling on the floor in her cute little overalls saying, " Fuck oo ? Fuck oo ? " You'd better cut it out now or some fun stuff is sure to follow .

My husband does not cuss -at all-. So everyone will know where the kid gets it from...you have an excellent point.

Heathen Ways:
1. Atheist 2. Eat fast food 3. Love Vegas and gambling in general 4. Don't tip when I pick-up to go food 5. Am a YM heathen because I don't stand in line at the grocery store noticing if people are paying with food stamps and analyzing what they are purchasing.

1) atheist/humanist & ex-LDS (I knew there was a reason Mid and I clicked so well) 2) I love talking about politics, religion, and money- at the dinner table (and really everywhere) 3) I do my best to not go places (threads, P&M board, republican parties) where I know the content will upset/anger me, but if hate wanders into my life, I will call it out as hate, no matter who you are or where we are 4) I love violent team sports- roller derby, hockey, football (in that order) 5) Pretty much universally, I'd rather be at the bachelor party than the bachelorette party

No religion for me. I also have a very unrefined palate, but am now being forced to eat veggies by my doctor. My idea of fine dining is Olive Garden. I gave up ironing years ago, and wear jeans almost every day to work. There once was a time when I didn't clean my bathroom for months (?) and just started using the upstairs one instead. I collect action figures and Lego sets, but refuse to open the packages. The Walking Dead is my favorite television show - Daryl Dixon rocks!
Oh, and my sister yelled at me the other day because I was driving her kids around and screaming 'Use your blinker asshole!' I don't get what the big deal is, her husband curses all the time around them.

oooh, I like this thread!
1. I like cartoons 2. I like video games 3. my brain-mouth filter sometimes malfunctions 4. I don't have much self-control 5. I would hire out 90% of my life if I could 6. I occasionally read smut/watch porn.
There has to be more.....

My kids all learned how to cuss from me I once got a phone call from my mom when she was babysitting so DH and I could go out by ourselves one night when DD was about 3, I think. DD was having a meltdown, wanting her f'n mama. Oops. I haven't gotten one bit better about it in all the years I've had kids either. I figure if that's the worst thing I do, then I did pretty good.

Well if video games make one a heathen, I need to add
7) I play WoW (and other MMORPGs) 8) I play D&D (and many, many other TTRPGs)
9) I play Euro style board games (Dominion, Small World, Settlers, etc) actually, that last one may make me more cultured, not really certain so I'll replace with 9) I play Cards Against Humanity

I am a completely unapologetic atheist. I swear like a drunk sailor on leave. Oh, let's just say that I used to be really "friendly". Now, of course, I am an angel. I drink quite a bit, and have no intentions of cutting back. I'm really not terribly nice in general. I did quit smoking years ago, does that get me any good-girl points?

What gets me about the Mormon missionary program is that they send out these polite, well meaning eighteen year olds who are supposed to explain The Meaning of Life to me. Who has ever known an eighteen year old who understands The Meaning of Life ? You got that right Betty.

Hey, some of us with children don't like all the noise either. You don't have the market cornered on that one.

mj: Just started back up with WoW a couple weeks ago due to stress at work. I really needed to be able to kill things. I played GW way back when. I have a couple friends who are doing GW2, and it sounds pretty cool, but I can only handle one MMORPG at a time.
