My oldest walked with the younger sibs a couple of years ago, when anyone asked his what he was his answer was "dude in jacket". It's not like he was dressed up. We hit a retirement community, the residents there love to see the kids and then we got to a family friend's neighborhood, they decorate a lot. By then we've all had enough and go home. The biggest danger is making sure you have the same number of kids you came with when you leave. I'm in a fairly safe area.

Ha! I remember the last time I took my cousins TOT. I was in grad school and the boys were 9 (Spiderman) and 5 (Batman). The 5 year-old decided at one point he was done TOT; not complaining about walking or anything, just didn't want to go up to the houses with his brother anymore. He would sit on the curb by me while his brother went up to the door. A couple of the homeowners felt bad for "Batman" and walked his candy out to the curb.
