Good grief, will have to stick with entering CGA (long) after this week's Thursday sell-off and Friday plunge. Just has to be oversold and due for a bit of a rise in share price. <oh, fool that I may be>

I'm also going to hang in with SODA, long again. Just to see what happens this next week. Who knows, the top could blow off again or the bottom could fall out!

URTY was well rested and gave Kadee a good chase last week!
But, this week, I'm gonna put him back in his stall and trot out TQQQ again. All brushed up, full of oats, and hopefully rarin' to go!
Long TQQQ.

Long AIR (AAR Corp. - Aerospace Defense Products and Services)
The stock price recently broke above the 200-day SMA. The price ratios look good. The PEG is .87. The debt to equity is higher than I like but I have a limit order to buy if it falls to 16.75.

Clark,
Please replace my horse with TQQQ. I put URTY back in his stall. He was quite sweaty from chasing Kadee last week, so I put my usual steed, TQQQ, back on the track. (Please see post #5)

Looks as if kadee is not so bubbly to start the week. SODA has lost it fizz. And archi and I are not starting well in China. May be a tough week.

You are right Mod. I thought about going short this week & I should have gone with that feeling! Like I said last week, SODA is up/down a LOT!
With all the unrest in the world...I think it will be a "different" week. Too many things going on for me to try to keep up with all the events.

Wow. uncle had quite a drop to steal last place away from kadee. You were correct, kadee, a Short would have kept you near the lead. But, that's the way the cookie crumbles. This game is interesting, in that one can get in some Shorting practice. Tempted to try it, if I can figure out probable market direction and sentiment.

re: shorting. Just for a little humor, years ago, I read this comment: "He who sells something that isn't his'n; goes to prison".......
my belief: Shorting is no riskier in a bear market, than going long is in a bull market....... But keep in mind, shorting a $10 stock, you max. profit is $10., but your loss can be very very high.

But it's fun to see what happens sometimes here in the game.

"I wouldn't do it in RL cause I don't know that much about it. Do see certain times when a Short might be risked, but in RL it would have to be darn near 99-44/100 certainty to work. Tried it one time and lost my nerve FAST and covered. Hard to have confidence if entering unfamiliar territory. Am just a simple buy/sell guy.

Mod, I short the NASDAQ index from time to time. Actually, it's the NASDAQ 100 that I short. I use the ETF "SQQQ". That's actually a 3x leveraged short.
I'm not short now, however, I'm actually long TQQQ. And have been since the middle of June. This trade is up about 40% since then.
When it's time to take profits, I'll reverse my position, and use SQQQ and go short.

I have always avoided shorting in RL. I also won't spend money I don't have, so I don't do things on margin.

From all the comments, obviously there's some wise posters on this board...!!! But the "less smart" poster is the guy that has insomnia....has already been up a couple of hours...& not using his time wisely.... (exercising his horse for today's race)...... LOL.
added: bluerobin, I just looked at your post time. I was referring to me...................not you........... Good morning everyone.
