The Beatles don't have the vocal range that Queen does (freddie). Their music doesn't have the same quality even. Beatles are more calm . .. Queen . . well that's party and dance music with an excellent range. It's just pure raw talent that you will not find with any other band. . . . . EVER I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one. Queen has more hits in the UK than in NA I found out after doing some research, I think that plays into it a bit here. Freddy is a bigger showman than any one Beetle, I agree. However, that's why I like the Beatles over Queen. They all had some degree of success on their own. Without Freedy there is no Queen. However, without Ringo there is no Beatles, ya know?

The bar we went to when we were younger always did it's closing call with this song: It was time to order your one last drink of the evening then. The bar would sing this song as well.

The cross dressing video. (I would say Freddie and the entire band broke free here)

I thought it was funny that the song can evoke a strong emotional reaction in one person and another pictures a ridiculous movie. annell= I was so channeling Wayne's World at a stoplight the other day. Big hair, headbanging and all. ;D

We will be all gone, someday. But, our loved one will remember us.

(the above post is deleted because I somehow managed to post it twice ... sorry.)
I don't see why it's necessary or beneficial to compare Queen and The Beatles. Each music has it's own excel lance. Queen is a stadium band, first and foremost .. greatest performers - ever. The Beatles gave us the greatest standard/traditional music that has a basis in rock. Not the same thing.
Favorite Beatles - Abby Road medley pt. 2
Queen ... imo, greatest performance, Live at Wembley. If you haven't seen it, make a note.
This part is at the end and they had to be exhausted. Watch it, keep an eye on Freddie (brilliant) but Roger, Brian and John are all excellent.

When my daughter was 2, she would sing "We Will Rock You" and she did her own lyrical interpretation. Instead of "Kicking your can all over the place". She would sing it as "Kicking your Bladder all over the place"!
