Thanks Roselia, that was an interesting read. Thanks Sugi but it wasn't the document I really had in mind to share with you all. My soldier friend has shown Christianity debunked as a myth via the means of astrology and upon troubling the poor soul he further gives me this link. GOSPEL ZODIACThe Christian religion is a parody on the worship of the Sun, in which they put a man whom they call Christ, in the place of the Sun, and pay him the same adoration which was originally paid to the Sun. - Thomas Painewww.usbible.com/Astrology/gospel_zodiac.htmIf you find the first link interesting then the second one nails it.

I'm thinking no one in history has gone to further lengths to discredit anything more than people have gone to discredit Jesus. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it's been going on for well over 2000 years. Everything else runs it's course. Something to think about. If I were an independent thinker, my first question would be WHY?

If I were an independent thinker, my first question would be WHY? Do you know Idin how important it is for Christians (scholars and priests) to comeback with rebuttal to such information? There is no historical evidence for Jesus' birth. There may have been so but it's perhaps destroyed - I dunno. Not only this but if Jesus doesn't exist then guess what? The Abrahamic Religions are a sham.
You're welcome, Sugi. Glad you enjoyed the read.

ROSE: The Bible does have at least 4 historical accounts of His walk on earth. Each author, at different times and places, give the same accounts.

(My apologies. It's just that "noisefitting" now has a new textbook definition. ;D) The jesusneverexisted.com article isn't quite as ridiculous, but the author's grievances are specious at best, theologically ignorant at worst. There are only three claims among the dozens he makes that are even worth addressing. Given his seething disdain for Christians, it's no surprise that nobody has written in to enlighten him. As for the OP, I don't believe there's anything scriptural to suggest Christ wasn't married. There's simply nothing definitive to suggest that he was. That fact evidently isn't relevant to our spiritual instruction, in the same way that no physical description of Christ is ever given. As for women being disciples, Christian women are Christ's disciples. The church ministry is made of up of men, because men and women have different roles in the church. And as a final note, there is certainly no doctrine forbidding Christian ministers from marrying. Paul calls forced celibacy "a doctrine of demons" for reasons that have become plainly evident in recent years. Unfortunately, anything that comes out these days regarding Christ's life and times needs to be taken with an enormous grain of salt. They're interesting from an intellectual standpoint, but little more than noise, spiritually. God has given us everything important to our instruction. We are to hold fast to scripture and not be let astray by false doctrines.

www.usbible.com/Astrology/gospel_zodiac.htmPerhaps I shouldn't ask this but given that the seasons vary around the world, winter in the UK being summer in Australia, and that the night sky also varies star positions, that Spring in Palestine last about 2-3 weeks while other Springs around the world can last much longer, that as far as I am aware Hercules last Labour was the dog Cerebus, that the robe given to Hercules was impregnated with blood from years before, that it did not burst into flames but 'burnt' into his body, that he built his own pyre and himself on it. What am I to think of the astrology gospel? Oh. I've kept the list short. Tara
