My choice this week is UNFI, United Natural food.
It reports this week, and is expected to show some growth in earnings per share.
Now my problem is go long or short it.
Looking at the chart, it has been pretty much climbing with no real pullbacks, so if it disappoints, it should get hit hard.
If it only hits estimates, it might sell off some.
So.......

Long AET (Aetna Inc. - Healthcare Plans)

I own a few shares of AET. The insurance companies seem to be improving of late and my pick for the past few weeks IMKTA was going nowhere fast. The price of AET bounced off the 50-day SMA last week and I am hoping that will hold up as support.

Trying a new one although I am still holding VLO in my portfolio. Expected something last week that I did not get. So jumping ship to Illinois Tool Works (ITW)

Per Barchart:

... showed up on Friday's Barchart "All-Time High" list. ITW on Friday posted a new all-time high of $61.10 and closed +1.49%. TrendSpotter has been long since Aug 3 at $55.62. In recent news on the stock, ISI Group upgraded ITW to Buy from Hold. BMO Capital on July 26 initiated coverage on ITW with an Outperform and a target of $62. Illinois Tool Works, with a market cap of $27 billion, sells fasteners and components, equipment and consumable systems, and a variety of specialty products and equipment.

I believe I will sell a few shares if CGA goes up another 20+ cents today.... tomorrow is earning call and press release, so this may be a pre-news gallop and short covering. The volume has been heavy, so maybe there may be some real substance to the run-up. If they beat by a surprise amount, it could go higher. But, then again, it is a China small cao RTO, so it could be a "flash in the pan" event. Will watch the action closely this afternoon. If bad news, will challenge for bottom rung Friday.

11 a.m. > Changed my mind, will roll the dice and stay with CGA. Nothing ventured, no way to eventually hit the jackpot. This puppy is still on a fast growth path. Bound to be a big dog someday. Woof, woof.

Tomorrow is the showdown for CGA. News out overnight followed by the CC at 8 a.m. All depends on the "news". Believe they must beat the street number substantially in order to keep momentum.
I expect a good, but unspectacular report which will curtail the current rise. with a small retreat to the low $4s. If so, can always say, "It was nice while it lasted." Yet, of course, remain open to a nice unexpected surprise. ;D
