Middle Class Will Vanish

There was a news program on tv, a while back, maybe one year ago on this issue. A couple of small manufacturing business owners were interviewed and they had job openings that they could not fill, but not for a lack of applicants.

The problems were the applicants had very poor education, particularly in high school math(geometry, alegebra, trig, etc).

Hey, here's an idea....why not hook these people up with damnitagain. He says that he's in the chemistry business and that doesn't require much math skill......

Franky please if your going to quote me use the quote! I said my formal education was in chemistry . That's when I said ( sarcastically ) that anyone that knows chemistry knows there is little math. Of course you left out  . Chemistry is all math .

I comprehend plenty. I don't buy all the Infowars and enenews  bullshit that you guys would have us believe. For a guy who has been shown REPEATEDLY, that you haven't read your sources completely, you've got a lot of nerve talking about books.......

Speaking of reading and comprehension, go back to the Doom and Gloom post and READ my response. You asked for the source of my comment. The source is you....I was quoting you. I reposted something that you posted. I think that falls under comprehension.

They sure have screwed folks, no pensions, no interest on savings, and we are not going to be some of the fleeced sheep that get in the stock market.  As usual what goes up will come down.  If you sell at the top you have won.

Nice to hear from you Pat.  Seems a bit odd that just in the last year that things have gotten that bad in the rental market, at the same time a lot of good renters in the past might be looking at buying now....  Not sure who "they" are, but the fact is that savings accounts have always paid the lowest amount of interest, have you tired looking at a GIC?(that's what they are called in Canada anyway) or say an income for life product?  Those low rates are why you are able to buy and sell houses now and the only people that lost their pensions(aside from the ones that got mixed up with guys like Madoff) are the ones who sold out in '09 at a huge loss.  People who stayed in or reinvested in '09 are back to even or a head of the game and the ones who bought houses in the turmoil(like you guys) are now making out very well for themselves.

The fact is, just like Q says, it's a new world and we aren't seeing classes vanish what we are seeing, because there is so much money in the world, is that more classes are being created.  For instance a Huge survey reveals seven social classes in UK, two of which are middle class.

patstab Thanks for your update on your rentals. I experenced the same problems 6 years ago. Rent to two singles and they each move in their boy friends and then several other people. Got rid of them and the units before the children came.

Stay in cash and accept no yield. Protect the principle.
