I read it within the last two weeks. What it is, is that what they thought was 97% garbage isn't. So their learning more, what's new.
When I had my DNA tested we found different things in mine as well. What my DNA doctor told me is that everything that she learnt to achieve her degree is now obsolete material.
Science goes forward.

Lone do you understand that of extraterrestrial origin, means simply of unknown origin. It does not literally mean from "aliens".

It's the 98% that they have not paid any attention to. Now they have woken up to DUH, that's 98% that we didn't know too much about. Just think of the possibilities.

Lone do you understand that of extraterrestrial origin, means simply of unknown origin. It does not literally mean from "aliens". So, if not alien, then what? What they simply paid no attention to earlier. It's been there ALL ALONG, no one paid it much attention. It's not alien, simply ignored.

I found the story I read.... 'Junk DNA' has a purpose, new map of human genome reveals 06/09/2012 10:38:31 AM CBC News Vast sections of the human genome that were previously thought to have no useful function and were dismissed as "junk DNA" are in fact involved in key biochemical processes, an international team has found. The five-year Encyclopedia of DNA Elements, or ENCODE, project has attempted to catalogue the bulk of genetic material that does not fall under the category of protein-coding genes, the building blocks necessary for life that comprise only two per cent of the human genome. The results of their efforts, published Wednesday in a series of papers in the journals Nature, Genome Research and Genome Biology, are being widely seen as the most significant contribution to understanding the human genome since the last sequence was completed in 2003. sync.sympatico.ca/news/contentposting_cbc?newsitemid=sci-junk-dna-human-genome&feedname=cbc-tech-science-v3&show=false&number=0&showbyline=true&subtitle=&detect=&abc=abc&date=true&paginationenabled=false

Oh goody! More crazy scientist articles on crazy theory websites!
I think they watched Prometheus a few too many times.

Probably because there is no way to prove a theory or even test a hypothesis about aliens seeding our planet it's about as useful, scientifically, as saying God, with a capital G, created us.

Sug. This doesn't explain whether or not there was an extraterritorial intervention. I don't believe in extraterrestrials Lone. Space people are not coming to visit us, never have been, not happening now and never will be. It doesn't compute in my books.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do keep an open mind to all theories. I ignore wild conjectures that are based on stretches of the imagination.

That website is friggin awesome! "Why Did NASA Bombed The Moon" priceless! It starts off with some former NASA guy saying we were told to never come back by the aliens. They're more advanced than we are and would have run us off if we came back. Then goes into a bunch of super zoomed in shots of really grainy photos to try and show that the aliens have structures all over the moon, and NASA is covering it up. OK. So let me get this straight; the aliens are more advanced than us, told us to never come back or else, but we launched a 2 kiloton bomb at them and they did nothing? Okie dokie.
More importantly, they never answer the why question. Why in the sam hell would NASA coverup a race of aliens on the moon? Do you know how much more funding they would get if there actually was one??? Can you even imagine the billions that would have poured into the program if we had an advanced alien race to learn from, and a way to get there? We aren't the only country visiting the moon either. Why would we cover it up and never go back, at the height of the cold war? No friggin way. We'd be pissing ourselves that the damn ruskies would go up there, kiss some alien ass, and come back with a weapon we couldn't stop. Ain't no way in hell we'd keep that a secret. Even if we did, why would the Soviets? Why would the Chinese? Why would the Brits? We're far from the only country that's sent probes up to map the lunar surface.
I didn't even bother reading the alien DNA in the human genome article. The guy sounds like a pinhead.

What will be proof enough for you? Fossil data ok?

LOL! Watch out folks, the modern day eugenicists are in league with the moon aliens and they're killing us all with flu vaccines!!! Any second the NWO is going to take over the planet and hand it to their lunar masters!

<<flies in with space ship>> Nanu Nanu earthlings!! I read the same article that Sug mentioned. Here is an excerpt: "Among the many mysteries of human biology is why complex diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure and psychiatric disorders are so difficult to predict and, often, to treat. An equally perplexing puzzle is why one individual gets a disease like cancer or depression, while an identical twin remains perfectly healthy. “It is like opening a wiring closet and seeing a hairball of wires,” Mark Gerstein of Yale University said of the DNA intricacies. Now scientists have discovered a vital clue to unraveling these riddles. The human genome is packed with at least four million gene switches that reside in bits of DNA that once were dismissed as “junk” but that turn out to play critical roles in controlling how cells, organs and other tissues behave. The discovery, considered a major medical and scientific breakthrough, has enormous implications for human health because many complex diseases appear to be caused by tiny changes in hundreds of gene switches." Link: www.nytimes.com/2012/09/06/science/far-from-junk-dna-dark-matter-proves-crucial-to-health.html?_r=1&pagewanted=allDisclaimer: No Aliens were harmed in this study.

So the junk DNA is actually there for a reason.......Well I never. Which conceited know-it-all scientist called it "junk" in the first place? PS I'm not alien...my arms aren't that long.

thank you for pointing this out. I believe the answer is; cancer is influenced by how we live. Not really as genetically ingrained as we like to think. We are in the modern age, affected by poisonous hazards in our modern industrial technical age. We have advanced so fast, that we have left our sense of our very physical nature behind.
