Eye washer Back in 1957 grade one Catholic school, my class was to perform the nativity scene play for the whole school. I told the nun I wanted to be the baby Jesus. As an incentive for getting the role, I told the nun my parents had a baptism chalice and we could use that in the play. I got the role and we used the baptism chalice in the play. After the play, I learned the baptism chalice was actually an eye washer. I think the nun knew that but thought it was funny and useable anyway.  |
