But if everyone had access to the same cheetah's blood, then we are back to 'fair.' And, if sports were fair - wouldn't we limit the Yankee's payroll? But the cheetah blood has been deemed illegal... if they make it legal then they might as well allow people to build robots or have bionic body parts to compete at an even higher level than one who takes the cheetah blood... Exactly. I am saying I think that there should be no banned substances. Everything goes. Why not?

But they do have all sorts of "aids" - like the speed suits that they used for swimming. New technology. They broke records because of a new aerodynamic fabric, not because they are really more talented. And the training has gotten so technical now. They are able to do things to prepare that just weren't available 30 or 50 or 100 years ago. So, they are just using technology to get ahead - not talent.

Exactly. I am saying I think that there should be no banned substances. Everything goes. Why not? Because it totally degrades the sport... Watching someone achieve/blow away a world record based solely on their non-drug enhanced performance is phenomenal... knowing they used all sorts of "aids" to achieve that... meh... not so much. It doesn't bother me. Training regiments have changed over the years. Nutrition has changed over the years. Understanding of the human body and how to tweak it to get the best performance has gotten better... Why not allow that to continue to the next logical step?
