Wonder Pets. Kraft Mac and cheese. Awww, we are just getting to this stage. I the Wonder Pets - which probably means I will end up hating them shortly.

I'm slowly being driven insane by Team Umizoomi. You know you've watched it too many times when you find yourself singing the might math powers song at work.
She absolutely loves the show. I suck it up becuase I can get work done while she watches it and they have taught her to count to four, so she's learning something.
Pajanimals is another one. I used to think they were cute but I've watched every episode so many times feel like I am trapped in Edgar Allen Poe's "The Bells".

Adventure Time. Quite possibly the most stupid show to ever have been thought of. But for some reason, the kids like it. I leave the room when it comes on tv.

Gwen likes The Amazing World of Gumball, so does DH. I beg him not to allow her to watch that show. It makes me twitchy because the characters are so freaking hyperactive. It's like nails on a chalkboard.
Thank God Gwen does not like Calliou. I watched one epsiode of that and wanted to murder Calliou, what an annoying little brat that kid is.

I don't think anyone over the age of about 10 like Calliou, he's universally annoying unless you're his target audience. Even some of them don't like him. DD likes pop music and Fred videos on You Tube. Some other dude has replaced Fred in her viewings of weird crap on You Tube, at least he doesn't talk in that annoying squeaky voice. If anyone in my house watched Barney, it was in another room, I couldn't take it. Teletubbies probably was absolutely wonderful if you did acid, since it looked like they already did.

Fred makes me stabby. Thank God Gwen is not his target age group. My mom thought Teletubbies was awesome when she watched it. She was going on and on about how cute it was. Turns out my dad had spray painted the kitchen cabinets that day, I could smell it when I walked in the door. I told my mom you might want to open a window. I can handle Elmo. However I am sick of watching him on YouTube. I have "I'm Elmo and I know it" stuck in my head.

I don't think I've seen I'm Elmo and I know it yet, I'll be sure to tell my oldest DS, he was a huge Elmo fan. ;D

Count ours among the Fred and Annoying Orange families. MIL introduced the kids to Orange back when he was just an internet sensation. Thanks a LOT MIL!!

Never seen Annoying Orange and don't plan to, one commerical for it on Cartoon Network was enough. I can't stand Mike the Knight. I keep hoping the dragons will get tired of his shit and roast him.

Haven't had the pleasure of seeing that one. The kids have thankfully moved on from Nick Jr and Disney. DD likes the HUB now (My Little Pony/Strawberry Shortcake/Pound Puppies).

I apologize to my parents for making them watch My Little Ponies in the 80's. If it was anything like what is now on HUB I am surprised they did not commit suicide.

What stories do you have about things your kids loved, but you did not care for so much? Every summer my kids pick out a book that we read together. My son picked out Eragon when he was 9. Basically we read for awhile each day, taking turns reading out loud to each other. That was a long-ass boring book to me. He loved it!

I liked Annoying Orange on the internet. That is the right venue for that.
My husband is introducing my son to the headbanging hair metal bands. And my song is drinking it in. His favorite song is "Final Countdown." LOL - it is killing me. He said he wants to learn to play the piano, and that is the ultimate song he would like to learn to play.

I read Eragon and I kept getting the impression that he stole quite a bit of his work from JRR Tolkein.
Normally I hate it when books are destroyed but I was thrilled when the dog ate Gwen's Itsy Bitsy Spider book, I was so sick of singing that song.

You all are making me happy that my kids are into completely inappropriate R rated movies. The joy of teenagers. DD also watches things like "90210", "Secret Life..." "Pretty Little Liars" 10 or so episodes in a row until I'm ready to scream. Usually on Sundays, which is my day to laze around and read on the couch.

I only know orange from YouTube, didn't realize he had his own show?? ... I didn't mind eragon, but lost interest by the second bk... There was some assimilation of other stories, but it was written by a 19 year old, so I cut him some slack

I HATE all those t-shirts with a character printed on them. Avengers, spiderman, Disney princess, Phineas and Ferb.....all of them are loud and damn pricey!! But my kids love them. So I suck it up and buy them some

My tween is currently into watching u-tube videos of "coning".
She cracks up laughing at every single one (she's almost 12). I think they're all stupid, so does DH....but if this is the worst she's watching, then I guess I can't complain....

Kids are weird. Or at least mine are, anyway. Not going to bring up the coning videos because mine would probably get hooked on that.
I'm completely convinced that my oldest one only learned to read because he was dying to be able to read the Otis elevator technical operations manual for himself. He had zero interest in fantasy or fun books and as soon as he could read, read the owner's manuals for all our business equipment, cars, boats, etc. As for writing, he was only interesting in making traffic signs. For years, he made signs to hang around the house, "Stop", "Yield", "No Wake Zone"
I hope he finds a nice interior decorator to marry like SouthernSusana did. We need to dilute this Nerd gene.
