If I eat the kid's leftover ________ the calories don't count.
Pizza covers all the major food groups, it's the perfect food. Grains, dairy, vegetables, meat, and a little fat. (my all time favorite)

People who go on restrictive diets can get really crabby, and I'm already a total bitch, so I better eat something.

IfI drink a diet soda with this bacon cheeseburger and fries, they cancel each other out ;D Crumbs don't count. So if I eat all the broken Oreos in the package it's not the same as eating 1/3 of package in 1 sitting.... Said as you are smashing an unopened pack to bits, lol.

Ah - the wasted food - my grandmother lives on in all of us! (Other Grandma - not the calcium one.)
Another one is:
If I eat this bag of candy very fast, it will no longer be in the house to tempt me.

Or...If I stuff that last piece of cake in my gob before anyone sees me, I'm not being selfish. I'm keeping the kids from eating crap. That's makes me an AWESOME mother!! I'm very self-sacrificing that way.

Rum-n-cokes are strickly for medicinal purposes ;D as in any application of whiskey - I learned this one from my parents, who would rub my gums with whiskey as an infant while I was teething.

It's ok to buy shoes when they are on sale because I'm not paying full price so FI doesn't freak out about me adding more to my collection. which means i can buy more shoes since it's the cost per pair that worries him not the total amount spent each year on shoes

I'll go you one better. I once had a coworker tell me that her first kid was over 10 pounds so she was smoking to keep this baby's weight down

I could get hit by a bus tomorrow. I'd hate to die after passing up that dessert.

I haven't gained weight. I am retaining water, my period is coming, I just ate a lot of salt today, you get the idea.

I like diamonds. Yes, This one is sparklier than the last one. Yes. Ummmmmmm. Diamonds. Get out of my head, Nasgul! I'm almost done persuading myself that it's fine to buy a new diamond ring because we're too heavy in cash and it'd be good to diversify into something besides stocks that'd go up with inflation.

That wouldn't require any blatant justifications. Besides, I already have stock. ;D

Diet coke and rum because the diet cancels out the rum calories.

A drink or two in the evenings makes me a better parent.

Also, ( not me ), " I'm in perfect health, except for my smoking......" The guy was totally serious. I got this one from an old friend: "except for my diabetes I'm perfectly healthy." (He quit working and now collects permanent disability because his diabetic retinopathy has reduced his vision about 70% - also needs someone else to check his feet for him because he's had several long bouts of serious, non-healing foot infections) Yeah. Healthy.

Isn't rum from fruit? Coke is no worse than coffee. I can justify just about anything!
