Hi all I been busy, I have chance to get internet that offers 16000 Kbps download, but I have no idea what that means.
can anyone shed some light? would it be enough fast enough? I watch a few you tube videos here and there, check email, web browse stories (mostly text and pictures, not much into videos on the web)
thanks

That sounds like a mid tier for most residential service. Plenty for the needs you spelled out.

16,000 kbps is 16 mbps, the standard dsl line is usually 1.5 or 3 mbps, so 16 is plenty. One thing to remember is when you get an offer for high speed internet, the provider will only guarantee speeds on their own network, so when you start getting out onto the net to such sites as yahoo, notmsnmoney, etc, you are off network and they will not guarantee high speeds, but you should be just fine. If you want to know your current speed are for comparison purposes, go check out speedtest.net.
