I took my kid to the mall. It was a million degrees outside, I couldn't swim, I couldn't walk, I was going crazy. I had to go somewhere - and that place had to have air conditioning. My kids were and still are ridiculously healthy.

"a 10lb 2oz baby is not that big" not to the point of being torn wide open, which is what was described.

We are not all superwomen/super mothers. My 1st was 6lb 1oz and I still needed stitches. I guess my OBGYN didn't know what she was doing. All her Harvard education and 20 yrs of experience didn't amount to much, huh? HAHA! I was going to say the same thing about 6 lb 6 oz DD. I needed a few stitches just from her & it wasn't a tough delivery, she pretty much popped out. I think it all comes down to the womens body. Props to anyone giving birth to a 9 or 10 lb baby. Didn't you also go with natural childbirth singlemom? Maybe I remember incorrectly, but if I recall correctly you got mad at me for saying women scream & moan during natural childbirth. That gives me the willies just thinking about a natural birth with a kid that large. yes I had unmedicated births....and I don't remember the comment but I never screamed during birth....moaned yes. why does it give you the willies? I was home 6 hours after giving birth to my 3rd, tucking my other 2 kids in bed and not having to be woken up by nurses all night to make sure I was still alive. being in a hospital gives me the willies.

lol I called my husband (he was watching the baby) and was bawling my eyes out...he said, "Awww...don't worry about it...go and have FUN!" So, I did... My DH would tell me the same thing.

I didn't have time for meds...I went from 5cm to 10cm VERY QUICKLY!! Lamaze breathing techniques and having a focal point worked for me. I am a pretty laid back person and I think your personality plays into how childbirth goes for you. I laugh at the movies that show women screaming at and swearing at their spouses...I just didn't do that...maybe some do, but I was pretty relaxed...I had HORRIBLE morning sickness with both, but my labor and delivery weren't so bad...I'd trade the labor and delivery for the first two trimesters any day! Everyone is different...

whatever, whatever -- my baby was 30 lbs and I gave birth without drugs, and I barely even felt him come out. I was all like, "should I push?" and the nurses were all "dude, he came out like 20 mins ago."

Yes, but I wasn't judging you as a mother. I was criticizing society as a whole.

When you're a Jet you're a Jet all the way From your first cigerrette to your last dying day.

I threw up from the time I awoke until the time I went to bed (with both)...it was MISERABLE!! I could barely keep down that horse pill of a pre-natal vitamin, let alone eat! I drank A LOT of Carnation Instant Breakfast per the Dr's orders. The smell of a pizza cooking or a hamburger broiling would put me over the toilet vomiting. It lasted until about twenty weeks with the first one and I had regular nausea until I gave birth with the second one. No third one for me! NO WAY!!

I didn't whine - I just happen to have a nice tight va-jay-jay opening, unlike singlemommy whose opening can stretch to 9 feet across and snap right back into place.

"I WALKED home from the hospital that night" I walked home from the hospital barefoot in the snow in -20 degree wind chills.
