He can't because he really doesn't know. These products aren't regulated by the FDA, so the strength and content of each varies by manufacturer.
Good luck on the new job.

Levels of natural supplements are not regulated, so they may vary across brands. Not only that, most have not been tested with pharmaceuticals so you are walking a mine field there. I had a HUGE argument with a woman on my hip board, who was recommending everything and anything to people on the board. The only problems were that (1) many on the board were taking Coumadin and other pharmaceuticals to prevent DVTs and you need to be VERY careful here and (2) the ones that were listening to her we're dumping the meds that they were taking that were controlling their hypertension, diabetes and CVD without their physician's knowledge. Many of the websites that she posted about said supplements were not studies testing the drugs, but anecdotal information and most time were supported by the sale of product. When I went to Medline and looked for peer reviewed literature, the studies were inconclusive at best. I do know that I spent hundreds of $$ to attempt to handle my arthritis naturally. At best, I found a very good mixer for vodka (tart cherry juice). At worse, I spent a lot of money for something that had utterly no impact upon my pain. When all was said and done, the most effective treatment I found was regular, gentle exercise and a good NSAID (diclofenac).....which was hat my orthopod had already prescribed. JMHO

Well, I got up at the crack of dawn this morning, before my MD appt, to take the qualification test for the new job I have been training for all dang week. It is apparently now common for WAH companies to require you to do all the training and testing, then if you pass their final testing they offer you a contract with back pay for the training you completed. If you don't pass, then you are out of luck and all that time goes towards zero income. I read all 100 pages of the manual of rules to apply to the data, created my own cheat sheet based upon the information provided, etc... and still managed to get one question wrong on the assessment, which means I failed it. Argh.... It would be helpful to be able to practice in the system, but you can't. So, all I could do is memorize and try to learn the rules and then attempt the testing. Apparently this is not how I learn things - I need to practice them. Trying to look on the positive side, at least I now know this work is not my thing and will not apply to any of the other companies that contract out for the same work. The last thing I want is to burn another week or two of time on something that ultimately pays me nothing. So.incredibly.frustrating. The other bright side for today is that I finally have my appt with the doctor and hopefully he can help me with how I have been feeling.

Yeah, I was testing to be a search engine rater. We were given about 100 pages of rules and examples. The only actual online training was the testing process where you are not told what you did right/wrong, just if you did okay or not. I passed the first two rounds of testing.
The work is very subjective, but if you rate a page as a 1 and it is supposed to be a 5 (for whatever obscure reason) then you automatically fail the qualification. I had one which had nothing to do with the topic being searched. It ended up the page was referral page owned by the same person. I had no way to know that and so I failed...
At this point they do not allow for retesting. So, very, frustrating because I know I am a smart human and can do the work. I just can't read a huge manual, digest every oddity, and then pass a test with flying colors and no errors. My brain and learning process just don't work that way. I need some actual practice to see how things work.
It appears that other people testing are having the same issues. And, it also appears from reading online, that many other people have this same problem and have to test with multiple companies until their scores pass enough to work.
I am not doing another few weeks "training" for the possibility of work. I need to be working and earning money. Argh.

I'm sorry. that sucks.
DH makes a lot of quinoa and amaranth. We like to use broth instead of water when making quinoa. I won't eat amaranth - to me, it's like eating sand.
