I'm glad to hear that the surgery went well! I hope your DH recovers quickly.

Sorry about the complications and the long recovery time--but I'm so glad to hear that it was a success and he should make a full recovery! It's also very, very good news that they found and fixed the aneurysm. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Everything is still going well, and he is indeed becoming more coherent. However, his cardiologist informed me today that he did have a heart attack during the surgery. We knew that was a risk. His heart rate and blood pressure are fine, but once he recovers from this surgery, he will have to have a stress test so that they can assess the new damage to his heart. (He already has a pacemaker/defibrillator as well as several stents.)
That is apparently what they meant by "his heart numbers are up." But he is getting the best care possible, which is all you can hope for.

Happy to hear hubby is improving. Hope it continues.
I was told I said and did some really funny things when I was on morphine after surgery. I don't remember them, but I've been told about them. Some were so out of it.
It will be interesting to see what the final bill is and what, if any, out of pocket you will have.
DF friend totally fractured the upper and lower bones in one leg last year and had two surgeries in a two week period. Total of two surgeries billed to BCBS was over $500K. His out of pocket did not get him to the catastrophic of $5K.
