Ok , i did the poached eggs. I set a skillet with about 2 inches of water to boil and dropped the eggs in. They turned out OK, but it seems a bit more trouble than just frying.

Did you use risotto rice for your risotto? ... I made some in the crock pot the other day that turned out pretty well...

What things do you like to make homemade versus buying prepared at the store? Tonight i made my own potato chips. They were yummy and the kids really enjoyed them. I also made chocolate chip ice cream. And, i FINALLY attempted risotto. Bread, all different types...white, honey wheat, french bread, rolls. Nutella cherry ice cream. Yogurt. I haven't tried kefir yet, but I've heard it's good and good for you so I'm looking into making that at home. However since I'm trying to lose some weight I've had to stop with the bread and ice cream.

Last night I made homemade pasta sauce and used it to make eggplant parmesan. It turned out really good.

I have some tomatoes and peppers from my parent's garden. Looks like I'm making salsa on Sunday.

If i beat heavy cream in the KA with a whisk long enough will that work? lots of things I've used the KA and a hand beater. The KA takes a long time to turn cream into butter. (20 minutes or so) The hand mixer takes only a few minutes. I love to cook. I make, or have made: butter, whipped cream, jams, pop cycles with fruit juice from canned fruit, sauce, meatballs, cookies, cakes, pies, but my yeast breads are not so good. I make strawberry bread and just found a recipe for peach and carrot bread that looks yummy. I make mayo, stock, pickles, and quiche. HM food is so good.

I'll be making some chili on Sunday during football, now I'm jealous you'll have it tonight. I made some chicken stock yesterday afternoon, and a huge batch of spinach mac 'n cheese last night that will cover me for lunch for the rest of the week.

I have only made chili once because my kids wouldn't eat it when they were little and DH didn't like beans. Well, now they have finally discovered the joys of a good bowl of chili. I am going to use hamburger and sausage. So, i gotta hit the store soon.

Yes - the brand Florence Henderson advertised.
And she cleaned up with the brand of paper towels that Rosemarie Clooney used to sing about.
