So from before Christmas to this past Saturday, we were either under Extreme Cold Warnings because of the wind chill or were just in the -25C to -33C without the wind.
Now it's warmed up so much it's raining outside. My dogs are like "oh come on, wtf. are we never going to get walked again?"

Or is that just the walkers, that hate it?

Walking when it snows is fine because they shake most of it off as they go and what is left is easy to brush off before we go in the house. Left to myself, I would walk them in the rain but DH always vetoes deliberate rain walks. He has a strong sense of smell and four totally soaked dogs are too much for him to handle. Even when we take them to the river to swim, we have to walk them in the sun long enough for them to be mostly dry before they are allowed in the house.

I wouldn't like it either! LOL

Ice storm starting after sundown tomorrow. We could get up to one inch of ice. I hope the power doesn't 't go out for days like it did in '94.
Today was nice-68 degrees. Did yard work.

Waking up to below freezing with a fog advisory. The latter probably from moisture in the air from our snowstorm Friday into Saturday. Today will be the last dry day. Tomorrow is rain with a little higher temp, and then Friday will start out nice and crash below 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
Hoping to have clean ice-free snow free sidewalks sometime Thursday. Hoping for an improved parking lot too.

It is literally a winter wonderland here right now. 8" so far and no end in sight until sometime tomorrow afternoon/evening.
For some reason this keeps running through my brain:
Let It Snow, Let it Snow, Let It Snow

Ten inches of madness back in Indiana, with 21 degrees. In Florida, slightly different, 81 degrees and perfect, slightly sunny weather, with five o'clock fast approaching for real, here.

Front changing. Freezing rain window down. I like that, but ponding issues will increase too as freezing temps coming a few hours later.

Western Tennesee, Mississippi, and eastern Arkansas schools are letting their students out around noon today due to expected severe weather including tornadoes this afternoon. The school systems have not done this since the Super Tuesday tornado outbreak in 2008.

We have a high wind warning until 7 p.m
So I am sitting outside because it is nice out other than the wind and dust devils are blowing down the street and wondering where the dust is coming from. Then it dawned on me it was all tree pollen.

Cold here but better than yesterday and Monday. No impending storms that down south is expecting.
Tree pollen season. I'd love to skip that, but I suppose more showers etc. are in my near future then.

Boise has had a weird cool and wet spring. It has been nice, because we really needed the water after a dry winter. We aren't in perfect shape (still moderate drought, I think), but much better than things looked at the beginning of April.
Today is high of 86 and sunny. Weekend looks like we will be washed out again and then highs in the 60's early next week. Not complaining, it will be miserably hot soon enough.
Looks like a heat wave is coming to the south, stay cool everyone.

Chance of tornadoes today. Central Mississippi has an even bigger chance.

I hate strong winds/tornados with a passion. Will take a blizzard anytime instead.

All is well. I live in hurricane country so wind doesn't bother me that much. We rarely have tornados so I get a tad nervous. And we are most prone to tornados in December so getting close!! The storms blew thru super fast so sun is shining in all it's glory right now and 70 degrees out!! As for blizzard - I don't even want to see a snowflake - totally not prepared for the sNOw word in this neck of the woods

Today, 4yr old DGD wanted to wear her sandals, when going outside. I said, No. There's snow out there (4-5"?). Her reply? "No. Look g-ma, the sun is shining!" It's true. The sun was shining. Since she was going to be in her mom's SUV, we settled on socks with her sandals! 😆😆😆

He said his feet needed to walk in that white stuff. I let him have at it and have pictures. I was never nominated for mother of the year. Oh and he didn’t catch a cold either. Should add that keeping shoes on him was a challenge I finally gave up on unless we were going somewhere. Outside rain, shine, freezing cold he was barefoot.

I was more into keeping my shoes feet dry and warm. We always got a lot of snow, so dry, warm feet were unheard of. And remember galoshes, with buckles that you wore over your shoes? They were awful. And if I didn't have any, I wore plastic bags with elastics at the ankles, to hold them on. It was so cold! Especially because we had to wear dresses to school. (And walk to school uphill, both ways.)
I am not a fan of snow, except on Christmas eve and Christmas day. And in the mountains.
