Price determined today after the markets close. Should be in mid to high thirty dollar range. Let's guess what it's highest price will be, and where will it close at on Friday afternoon.
$98.00 for the high $72.65 for the close
Just a wild guess as there are a really large number of shares being released.

I am just curious, not buying into this thing. For the younger, and I am long over the fast trader stuff. Some people may come to regret it if they jump in too high. May be the in thing for now but certain someone will develop a "better mousetrap" before too long.

I don't see a sustainable business model. Good idea, but advertising is largely ignored and it will fizzle in a few years.

There are tremendous imbalances on the order books. I'm watching the bid/ask and they are bouncing all over the place as brokers are trying to align orders. Delays are expected until there is some balance in the orders.
I placed a buy order at $31.

It opened at $42.05 a few minutes ago. The level2 order book still looks funky to me.

Well, it ain't gonna hit my numbers now. The big IPO that jammed up NASDAQ, just didn't skyrocket as we thought.

Ole Blue, the overall market atmosphere was not so good today. Rather foggy and drizzly.... a nice sunny day and it may have been better.

I think I would call it a big fizzle with the high only going to $45! And then closing at $38.23? Not much there!

Well, it ain't gonna hit my numbers now. The big IPO that jammed up NASDAQ, just didn't skyrocket as we thought. In fact this was in the cards.. never buy an IPO that is above the centre of the range or is greater then 10% of the total stocks.. in 90 days amount of stock will double and again in 180 days.. Looks more and more like a LTV.. Using stock as a currency to buy earnings.. Not enough growth available from the USA where then make five time more money then China or two times more then Germany per user.. Just a thought, BimetalAuPt they posted 18% of the total stock and are going to increase stock outstanding with the current buying of profits..

Facebook bombed yesterday - The underwriters had to buy back shares to keep it from falling below the offering price. What a joke!

Actually, I applaud his hoodie. Tells me that he is a true software type. The world should appreciate what he can do, not how he dresses. Didn't he get married on Sat.? If it takes suits and ties to make a business go, then businesses are doomed.

I prefer a business MAN to run companies that I invest in. I dont care if he wears a hoodie when it is appropriate. When talking to bankers and other business type meetings he should have the class and common sense to dress like an adult. Could be slacks and a shirt, could be a suit, or a sports coat and tie, but not a tee shirt and hoodie. To me it shows that he is immature and not doing everything he can to make the IPO a success. To me it shows that he does not have awareness of the business world. Yes it does show he is a software type, unfortunately, at this time he is in total control of the vast majority of voting rights to run a 100+ billion company. That is a little different than being a dorm room software programmer. The more I hear about FB the more it sounds like a re-run of LTV.. James Ling was know for his road shows and higher then deserved PE.. He sold stock door to roor.. had a booth at the Texas State Fair and all the TV times he could find to Promote.l.Promote..Promote.. He then used the stock as currency to buy income...Great Game if you can make it work.. It looks like most of the profits are coming from the USA as they have five time more income per used in the USA then China or two time more then Germany.. For Greece.. I just do not want to buy FB at a PEG of 4...22% projected growth and 96 PE.. Just a thought, BiMetalAuPt

Well as you can see I am a really bad guesser...... I do nor know who was the biggest loser on this one, Nasdaq, the banking consortium tht brought it public, or Facebook. Facebook is off the hook. They sold billions of dollars at obviously an outrageoug price. Nasdaq does have egg on it's face as they failed miserably in actually confirming sale orders all day.

Actually I believe only the Facebook insiders were the only ones that made out in this deal. They can take their money and run in less than 90 days - I really don't think all the billions will really care if it flops from there. They have made their fortunes.

Looks like it is going to drop a bit today. Rovo may be on target with his $31 price.

Personally, i wouldn't buy FB at ay price, and not because Mark is a fashion Rebel. Eventually, advertisers are going to realize that they get little or no return for their Internet Ad. dollars. GM stopped its FB ad.s for this reason. The question to keep in mind on things like FB is "if people had to pay to use them, would they?" heck, I sold my Activision (ATVI) stock because it was going no where and WoW has about 11 million subscribers at $15 a month. If their stock won't move and their dividend isn't exceptional, how will FB make it when the advertisers leave?

Hmmm... I wonder what the average age and income is of a FB user. Does advertising to people who have little money make a lot of sense?

Did Rovo get his FB shares this morning? Hit $30.99 low. If he kept his order open, perhaps now is an owner of a piece of FB.

I had the $31 Buy-order in for the opening day in anticipation of a down spike. It didn't happen. For me ZNGA is more interesting than FB but I do not have a position in either stock.

Yes. I'm wearing a hoodie. Does that make me stupid?
I see Face Book as a potential good buy, for investment purposes, at about $10 per share.

Guess we have to reserve judgement for awhile and let the smoke clear. Rovo, if FB hits $10, believe it may be an indication the party is over and there is not much future in it. Those who bought in in the $30s and initial low $40s and still hanging on would be tried and true "bagholders". Then again, it is said, miracles never cease.... so who really knows. Only the test of time will reveal all.
